  1. @Bluebasser86 was out of town and saw a Gander Mountain that looked like they were shutting it down permanently dang it was odd feeling there. Turned out they had 8 bags of 4" Lime Purple Passion. The down side is I know why it was closing or dang near a ghost town. Their competition Academy 3 minutes down the road kicked their ass on everything. I paid $3.49 + tax on every bag. I felt horrible for all of 2 seconds.
  2. I'm a Bomber, Normans, Rapala DT, and a Mann's minus user. As far as general cranks go they have just about anything I've needed without stupid prices. Of course there are different ones for lipless and square bills I use.
  3. You do like some roboworm. I prefer the bigger 10" n 12" worms. Well ya know what they say Go Big or go home. Anyway I had seen a few comments that the 90 was a little finicky at times for some to work properly. But I do pretty much only hunt for big LMB so most of my lures are on the bigger side.
  4. It better not be literally junk. It cost me $15. Haha But I have heard opinions both ways. I figured it would catch fish and in some of the places I go It could be the ticket.
  5. Just stopped by Bass Pro for no reason at all and ended up with this junk. I know I swore I wasn't needing this gimmick lure. But the employees at Bass Pro had some crazy convincing skills well I had a weak moment more likely.
  6. I wasn't referring literally to it as a slimy substance. It and other scents I was just generally speaking of are not something I want to deal with.
  7. The Sapphire Blue is still available from GM http://www.gandermountain.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?pdesc=Berkley-Havoc-Pit-Boss-4-8-Pk&i=445148
  8. Found one package of 4" at Academy. Thanks to my daughter for hunting these down for me.
  9. The last response just came and I feel this person is a foreigner with limited English skills or is purposely avoiding the Powerbait discussion. Yes that was the entire response.
  10. Yeah I felt the person responding was a secretary that really didn't know and really didn't investigate to much into what was going on. This is why I asked more. Thank you for the information I will make sure to address that conflict in another email.
  11. OK so I contacted Berkley and here is what I asked and what I just received. I did send another in hopes of getting more information. Awaiting a response back.

I did try JJ's Magic and Berkley Powerbait. The JJs was great for adding color until ... one day the sun got up and on my tackle bag and decided to take the JJs out of the glass container and cover the inside of the ziplock bag I had it in. Anyone that knows this stuff knows how well it does its job dying and making things smell. Needless to say that 1/3 of a bottle I lost was and will be the last. The Berkleys I have had for a few years and have tried soaking some worms and other soft plastic baits and never ever could tell a difference. Needless to say I wont be purchasing any more. Personally I have no use for the stuff. Also almost all plastic bait companies these days are claiming to have some of their secret brew on or in their baits. No need in me outsmarting those guys.
  13. He has plenty of time now to do the work since he is through for the year.
  14. They are not considered viable to many because its technology. Most buying a under 5oz rod and don't want to stick a 8oz reel on one end of it. The lighter the entire setup adds sensitivity and as some say makes for better "balance". I'm sure if someone loved a certain reel sure the weight would be less of a factor. This is just my view I might be wrong though.
  15. Looks like Odell Beckham (typical spoiled brat) owes GB some repair money for that whoopin. Story here http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/giants/odell-beckham-jr-punches-hole-wall-playoff-loss-article-1.2940526
  16. I see the test as Rookie RB vs Veteran QB.
  17. I fish texas rigged plastics and jigs if I have to stay on the bottom. I've found Crankbaits to be a lot of fun when you have a really unpleasant bottom.
  18. Lime/Purple Passion Bama Bug Watermelon Electric Blue Im sure I am missing some others but in the 4" version on Berkleys website these colors have disappeared. I did get the automated email saying they got mine. Guess it may be a day or two before I get a response.
  19. I just emailed Berkeley to get the scoop on what's up I'll post up what they say if I get a response.
  20. I'm now going to look I'll bet money I have a bag or two. In a week or two they will be worth a fortune. Amazing just a few months ago you could get any color you wanted on sale for less than $2 a pack.
  21. Shallow crankbaits Mann's baby -1 casts great and works great Baby bass has been great color but many colors work. Worms like the Mann's Jelly worm 9" or Culprit 10" Texas rigged Grape or motor oil or junebug colors work great. Some creature baits like the Havoc Pit Boss or NetBait Paca Craw Texas rigged or as trailers awesome color choices some dark and some lighter colors would be a good base. 3/8 oz and 1/2 oz spinner baits solid white in color and a black or dark color I prefer the Pepper Custom and original H&H brand 3/8 oz and 1/2 oz chatter baits/bladed jigs solid white in color and a black or dark color Frog brand of your choice one black bottom one white 4.8" Keitech Swing Impact Fat on swim jig Houdini color has worked for me but try any you like they all work. Seibert Outdoors Jigs aren't from Cabela's but you need these even if you think you don't. I really really like the 1/2 oz Dredge Brush version they work in numerous situations and quality is second to none for the price. Oh and they support the forms. There are more but this is some of my mainstay.
  22. Yeah I think Tim was right behind him in that video saying just the opposite. If I am thinking of the right video. As for the T-wing and knot issue, just quit using those leaders and it won't matter.
  23. Nice catch.
  24. Same here fishing as the sun just shows up has better results for me. But as far as a personal preference I enjoy both as long as I'm fishing it's all good..
  25. I don't fish really light finess stuff so a ML is out of the question for me. It's MH /F for most of my T rig stuff. I have used a Medium / Moderate on some smaller stuff and some sinko fishing where I used a lighter wire hook.
