Why can I only walk one type of frog?
Yup, been doing it for years! Tried that, did not help. Tried this as well, little to no success. Just bit the bullet and ordered more of the Megabass. With this frog I can walk it almost on the same spot with ease.

Why can I only walk one type of frog?
Hi all, I just ordered a bunch of frogs from TW and I am not able to walk any of them. Frogs I bought and tried: * River2Sea Bully Wa 2 Frog (size 65) * Spro Dean Rojas Bronzeye Shad (size 65) * Snag Proof Bobby's Perfect Frog 1/2oz On the other hand I can walk the Megabass Pony Gabot Frog like it is nothing. Unfortunately this frog is expensive and a bit more fragile than what I would accept for the money. So, I am wondering if anybody has recommedations on a similar frog to the Megabass or maybe some recommendations on how to walk the other frogs. Thanks guys!

Lew’s hypermag speed spool vs. shimano Chronarch MGL
I have briefly owned the Lews and do own the Chronarch. I think the Lews is a solid reel. I think it is refined and caste decent with the right rod and lure (I had probs to cast anything under 1/2 reliably with my 7' Heavy Helium 3). I bought the Chronarch because there was a lot good talk about it. It is a solid reel. Not as smooth or refined as my Conquest or Steez (that is a different price category) but still very solid. Casting distance: It is a wash (without having had side by side comparison) Where I feel the Shimano is a bit ahead is quality over time. Though to be fair, if you have a issue with your Lew's reel the customer service is great. Maybe order both from TW, etc. put them on your rod and see how it feels.

Your input is needed: Looking for a reel that I can put on my Kistler Helium 3, 7' heavy
With the ebay Memorial discount I am considering also some older Lews that seem to have a good combination of line capacity and weight. * Lew's Team Pro Magnesium Speed Spool ACB for 180 USD * Lew's Team Lew's LITE Speed Spool LFS Not sure how they are with lures around 1/2-3/4 oz though and how they hold up. Any experience?

Your input is needed: Looking for a reel that I can put on my Kistler Helium 3, 7' heavy
Hi all, I need your help with one of these first world problems. I am looking for a reel that I can put on my Kistler Helium 3, 7' heavy. I would use the combo for a combination of: * 3/8 - 1/2 oz Jigs (that I also would like to skip under docs) * paddle tail swimbaits (up to 1oz including trailer) * Chatterbaits (up to 1 oz including trailer) * line of choice will be 14 pound FC Sniper For these purposes the reel for the combo should be: * equipped with enough line capacity to bomb the lure out when needed * refined and sturdy enough for higher resistance baits * well balanced with the rod Here are some options that I am considering: * Daiwa Steez SV 103XS --> 300 USD * Shimano Bantam MGL 7.1 or 8.1. --> 300 USD * Team Lew's Pro-Ti SLP Speed Spool 7.5:1 --> 225 USD * Others? Thanks for your input guys!

Need help making a choice for reels(Lews or Daiwa?).
I have made great customer service experience with both companies. I think over time Daiwa has a bit the edge in continuous performance.

Looking for some walkie talkies
Thanks all for the input and the clarifications! I was reading some reviews that claimed that there were walkie talkies that had that kind of range. Will need to rethink my decision. THanks again!

Looking for some walkie talkies
Hi all, every now and then I am going to some very remote areas to fish where there is no cell phone signal. Since my wife freaks out at this and I would also feel more comfortable to call somebody in case I broke a leg I am looking into buying a pair of walkie talkies. I am a little bit overwhelmed/confused by the reviews that I am seeing on the web. So, was wondering if anybody has experience/ recommendations. What would be important to me is: * Good range: 36 - XX miles * Great battery life * Weather sealed: needs to be able to handle some water splashes/ dust * Weight: not more than 1 pound per 'phone' * Cost: under 150 USD Thanks for your feedback!

Right Handed Reels for Right Handers?
I really never understood why right handed people would use a right hand retrieve? You cast with your right hand, need to switch hands to retrieve... From an objective point this is just not practical since over a day of fishing I would probably spend almost 5-10mins just switching my rod from one hand to another. For techniques where fish can hit the lure as soon as it hits the water, I would also think that switching hands would put one at a disadvantage. Additionally I feel with a right cast - right retrieve model you are putting the stress of cast and retrieve on one hand/arm rather than distributing it (might only play a bigger role with high distance retrieves like crankbaits). Am I alone with this?

New gears for my SV103XS?!
Just talked to @Delaware Valley Tackle and he took the time to do a in depth analysis on the reel! Really awesome of him to take the time, he even recommended me a solution that did not result in any direct sales for him! I know where I will send my reels for service next time!!!

Daiwa SV103 XS lefty
Hi all, I am selling a Daiwa SV 103 XS lefty that is roughy 9months old but is till in great shape. Why am I selling: Last weekend I was out fishing and on a cast the clutch of the reel engaged. Now the reel make some noise and is not as smooth as it was before. I tried to investigate with my limited abilities but could not really figure out where the issue lies. I reached out to some shops to see how long it would take to fix the issue and the turn around time is +2 months. Since I need this/ a reel to fish with, I can not just sit here without a reel for 2 months. Hence I want to sell the reel to get a another that I can hit the water with asap. I honestly think that somebody with some knowledge (and access to spare parts) will be able to fix this quickly. I provided a couple of pics and videos here for you to access: https://drive.google.com/open?id=14n...iCzWuR9k--Q_Qr The reel is optically in a very great state (only could find a little part where some color is missing on the bottom - see pic) Reel comes with box and papers. This reel in the same kind of optical state I saw go for 250 USD here in the forum. So I think 200 USD shipped is decent ask. Please let me know if you have questions. Thanks!

New gears for my SV103XS?!
Hi all, was out yesterday on the lake. And besides it being a pretty bad day of fishing, I also was not lucky with my SV103. On a cast the clutch tried to engaged and it sounded like the teeth on the gears where just running over another. Well, what was a buttery smooth reel 2mins before sounded and felt horrible. I took the reel apart but could not see anything terribly wrong. But decided to replace the gears. I am not sure which parts to replace though and where to get the parts. Any help? Thanks!
