Which 12# fluro to get?
I use sniper fc and invisix on my moving rigs. But for my more finesse rig I want the absolute 'best' FC line. What I am hearing so far is: * Tatsu: very good manageability, has some stretch (less thatn Invisix?!) * Shooter: not as good in manageability as Tatsu but is more sensitive Thoughts?

Which 12# fluro to get?
THanks guys! I am seeing comments that Shooter is stiffer and hence more sensitive for slack line applications. Have you tested these lines side by side? Since I will be buying a larger spool I want to make sure to do the right investment THanks!

Which 12# fluro to get?
Hi all, I am looking for a super sensitive fluro line that I want to use on my 1/4-3/8 oz Jig set up (Steez SV TWS on Orochi Spinnerbait Special). Currently I am running 14# Sunline FC Sniper, but I would like to reduce the diameter and also increase the sensitivity of the line. Of course I am looking at Tatsu and Shooter. Any thoughts on this? I live in Northern Cali, so cold weather is not really an obstacle here. Thanks all!

Finesse bait casting reel
I think if you start coloring your lures with nail polish, you will finally start catching!

Dang, this was a good deal. Orochi Swingfire for 150 USD (shipped) sold by the tackletrap. Costa Sunglasses 100 USD instead of 200 (were marked down before). And then some LV500.

Shimano/G. Loomis Conquest review....
To be fair I did not have that much time with the rod. THough what I did was drag a 1/4 oz Jig on 14# Sunline over roughly the same stretch. To me the Conquest was not noticeably more sensitive than the Orochi. THe Zbone was more sensitive than the two. My Orochi Spinnerbait has a hook keeper, is not really heavy (4.7 oz and balances well with a Steez SV TWS) and did come with a rod sleeve. The Conquest does not come with one, which is a bit of a joke for a 675 USD rod. Also the craftmanship on the Orochi is above the Conquest in my opinion. The guide wrapping is more consistent and the cork looked better to me too. Again, I am happy for everybody that feels that their Conquest rod is the best there is. I am not an expert, but for me (in the isolated testing environment that I had access to) the rod performs more like a 300 USD rod.

Jigs: Conquest 904C vs Legend X 7'6" Med Hvy vs Steez SVF AGS 7'6" vs NRX 894C JWR
Had the chance to briefly test the 903 today and was able to compare to my Z-Bone 7'3 HXF and Orochi Spinnerbait Special. In short: I am not impressed. Craftmanship on the rod is below the Orochi, which costs less than a third. Sensitivity was below Zbone AND Orochi. I am sure people will disagree. But I am kind of happy with this result. Means I save a lot of money! Consider a Kistler ZBone (I think they have new ones coming out soon as well)

Grinding noise with new Chronarch MGL - normal?
Hi all, received my reel this morning and put it out the box and directly noticed some very distinct grinding noise (sounds a bit like a cobra that hisses). I have not noticed this with any other reel that I have (including Metanium MGL). I am wondering if this sound comes from the brass gears. To me it sounds a bit like the spool is touching the frame slightly when moving. Anybody else with this experience? Thanks. Cheers.

Recommend me a reel for Frogging
Thanks guys. I do own a SV103 XS (that is on a Jig rod atm). The reason why I am leaning towards a lighter reel is the fatigue. Walking the dog can be pretty exhausting if done over a long period of time. So a light combo of rod and reel should be beneficial.

Handle Knobs from a Steez SV TWS on a Steez A?
Hi all, I am wondering if I could put the knobs from a Steez SV TWS on a Steez A? The knobs on the Steez A are a bit uncomfortable and I much prefer the ones from the Steez SV TWS. Thanks

baitcaster for light plastics
I do use my Met MGL for jerkbaits (down to 1/4oz) and it works fairly well. Though I would not use the reel for anything lighter than this. Given that you have a nice rod I would pair it with an adequate reel. The following come to mind: * Steez SV TWS: great SV spool for lighter lures and pretty light. Very refined reel. I love mine * Aldebaran (BFS): light and more robust than you think. If line capacity is not of concern, I would even suggest the BFS version (I use mine for 1/8 oz lures and beyond with a BFS rod though) * If it should be a Abu I would consider the Abu Revo MGEXTREME 2. A friend of mine has it and he uses it successfully for a variety of lures, down to weightless plastics. I have not fished the Abu Premier. so I can not say much about it. Though again, I would pair an NRX with a reel that plays in the same league. Cheers.

Screwed up with some Cork Renew - help!
Hi guys, I got some Kelly’s Cork Renew in the box yesterday that I wanted to use to protect the cork on some of my rods. So I started and put it on all my cork rods yesterday evening. When I woke up this morning and I touched the dried end product I was a bit shocked. Yes, the cork is now protected like crazy but it is also super slippery. As soon is there is some moisture, liquid on the rod becomes almost impossible to grip. What can I do? I was planning anyways to experience a bit with something like a Winn Grips Superior Rod Wrap Contour, since I have larger hands and most rods are a bit too thin for me in the grip area. Other option would be to rough the surface up again with some sand paper. Lesson learned for sure on this... Thanks for your help!

Casting Distance IN DC Reels?
The 2016 Antares DC has the distance setting as well. And from my perspective there is not further casting reel (I do own Conquest 101, Steez SV TWS, Metanium MGL)

Daiwa STEEZSV103XSL vs Steez A 1016XH for all around reel
Which sv spools would you recommend here? Thanks Nothing new to me. I was just wondering if the SV was more of a finesse caster or a all-rounder. I am reading conflicting stories on the web. Some say that this is the best steel ever, so I was curious.
