  4. Here is where I purchase a lot of my paint. They have all types of airbrushes also. Just to give you an idea of the cost of things. http://www.chicagoairbrushsupply.com/
  5. A lot depends on what kind of airbrush and compressor that you buy. You can buy the cheaper brands at Harbor Freight. I spent around $1,000 dollars on getting everything I needed to start up. The price doesn't end there!! You always going to need something to paint, so when you run out of lures, you have to buy more. I forgot to mention lure eyes and new hooks. If it is a hobby you think you will enjoy, I would go for it, but if not, Its a lot of money to spend to just paint for a month or so and quit.
  6. The cost is fairly steep for someone just starting up. You will need an airbrush along with a compressor for starts. You will need to add a regulator, with a moisture trap, to control your airflow. You will also need to purchase airbrush paint, along with clearcoat. If you use 2 part epoxy, you will need to build a lure turner to hang them on, after brushing the clearcoat on. You can buy lure blanks fairly cheap, to practice on. Be sure to have fun with it!!
  7. Great looking jigs!! Love the Bluegill one as your avatar as well!!
  8. Thanks man!! I just wanted to build a couple to try out. Paul kicked tail on Guntersville using one, so I just wanted to give them a try.
  9. I finally had the time to get into the Rig Craze!! Made this one using .32 SS Twist Wire technique. The Joker Rig
  10. Thanks again guys!!! I live just outside of Tupelo, MS.
  11. Thanks guys!! It was very sad too see the young man died at the early age. I was very glad to do the bait for his memorial.
  12. Here are several different bluegills that I caught over the summer and made baits out of. It surprizes me that just about every bluegill caught looked different in some way. Almost like Chameleons!! Foiled Photofinish Bluegills Golden Shiner Random School of Baitfish Next is something very different painted. I have a friend and his best friend had a wreck and got killed last week. The guy was only 28 years old and loved to fish. He brought me one of his cranks to paint for him to have a memory of his friend that passed away. The guy was also a big dove and duck hunter. He asked if I could paint it in a grass camo with his name, birthday and death date on it. It was a lot to put on a small crank, but this is what I came up with. Do ya'll think it looks ok?
  13. Nicely done!! Great looking spinnerbait!!

  19. Thanks guys!! A friend at work brought it to me to paint. I think it is a blank that can be bought from Predator. Not certain, but I will ask him Tomorrow.
  20. Here are a couple of new colors that I painted. Also a custom flatside basswood crank that I built. I caught this shad took a few pics and looked it over as well as I could to see what the best blending would be. I am going to try a few different colors along the back. The backs on these change from green to gold. Lake X Foiled Gizzard Shad Foiled Golden Shiner Custom Basswood Flatside Crank I have been wanting to try the Real Skin finish on a bait. A friend at work caught and froze a shad and brought it to me. I left it in the freezer for a month or longer, before I had the time to try it. After I thawed it out, I thought I better snap a picture or two, before trying to skin it. The skinning didn't go very well so I painted his bait using the pic I took of the shad. The shad was a good bit discolored, but made a pretty neat looking bait. Foiled Tenn Tom Shad LC Pointer 100 in Foiled Threadfin Shad School Of Shad Dark Hitch Baitfish
