St Croix triumph
I like my 440ssg. Its not to big, its not to small. The 450ssg seemed kinda big for me with an ugly stik(6ft med action) rod. But the one problem i had with it was spooling, it wouldn't spool right. Another problem is that it tends to tangle when you don't have tension when reeling in. I will probably be using mines for the same, inshore fishing off the jetty. probably for kingfish and stripers. I fish for tougs(black fish) from time to time but not with this rod. the pfluger to me, its alright,

I have that same rod. One piece. Right now have a pflueger president on there but, i have a penn 440ssg for stripers. (I have the pfluger with 4lb test. I like a challage to fight the bass.I've been trying to find 2lb test but, nowhere to be found.) How big are the redfish you are catching? I have a buddy that fishes for stripers and he thinks it can handle stripers.(he has the same rod but, 2 piece).

Hey Big T would this rod handle stripers? As for sensitivity? PFFFFFT its better than an ugly stik! I wana use for like all around....Honestly i had a bad experience with berkley. I had a 2lb bass on a medium action, broke the first day i used it. I will never get a berkley again. And honestly i don't have another 30 bucks for a primier. >

Has anyone had experience with this rod? I read good reviews on basspro and cabela's. I was just wondering if any of you guys have this rod. I got it for christmas:).

Worst bass miss
Today..I'm guessing the bass that got away from me was like 4lbs. I saw the head and it was huge. I was fishing for crappie, but then i got a big hit..(man was i ticked when the bass spit out the lure).

A lil advice.
I say 3 rods is good. Have one rod for like, cranks and spinner, one for worms and one for topwater.

Boogie baits by booyah
Today i went out and tried it again. No luck, but a spinner bait, a small one with a grub on it i caught a 2lb bass. Wierd. Why would bass want a smaller meal? I was fishing them the same.(like i always do, usually just a small jerk and pause).

Spence Scout ?
Like, can i ask, what kind of action do they have? Tight wobble? or wide? Shallow running im guessing.

Boogie baits by booyah
Has anyone ever tried these? How do you fish them? What colors, and when do you fish them? I got one today, tried it, caught 2 decent sized bass.

What Are Your Top 3 Favorite Topwaters?
Jitterbug buzz bait spook.

tubes
I usually just rig t-rig it weightless. I haven't tried topwater tubes but, most of the time when i buy tubes, made by yum, they always float.

Spinning Reels, which one
I use my buddy's pflueger president, and medalist. Works great, good for the price. I have a suggestion, the mitchell 300x is nice too, around the price of the president.

I am not exactly sure how long my crappie is but, i know for sure its 2bls 2oz.

Reel Oil/Grease...
If the gears are metal, i use a oil called militec. It's use for guns, but i use it on my balisong knife. I guess it would be the same since its just metal.

What makes you PRO?
I think experience and skill. Money, sponsors blah blah blah. You can have all the money in the world, and be a crappy angler. You can buy the best boat, gear etc etc and not catch a single fish because u can't cast a baitcaster, or have a good hookset. just me 2 cents.

What's your least favorite technique?

A lure that i can't figure out..
Theres a lure my buddy found. I don't know the company, but its like a stick bait, when a lip. When i cast it, it floats, but when i reel it, it stays in the water, not sinking, but not floating, its in the middle. Does anyone know what kind of bait this is? Where i can find some? I tried some stores but, found some that looks like it but not sure if it will stay in the middle like this bait, so i didn't get it. Does anyone know what its called? I just wana make sure before i purchase the bait.

Buzzbaits during these months? Yes or No?
Yea like lubina said its around 55ish. I don't think i would fish under 45 degrees anyways, the water temp would be freezing. Today for some reason is really warm for the fall season, 70 degrees. But when it was around 55-60 the fish were really active. There were bass jumping all over the place. Some were jumping bout 6-12 inches above the water, don't know if they were going for a bait or getting attacked. That day i threw out some topwaters and got some hits:).

Buzzbaits during these months? Yes or No?
If its sunny then yes. I got 3 hits on a buzz last saturday but, i don't think it was my fault that i missed it. It seemed like the bass wasn't on target. I had a jerkbait, a spook, and they missed that 3 times to :-/. DOn't know if it was me or te fish.

trolling for Bass
I'd say it'd work. I mean if you have a bunch of lures you have, have mutiple lures like a school of fish. That way masybe the bass would be attracted to it?

Time of year question
I'm in jersey and the fish are still biting. Its about 50-60(if im lucky) air temp. But man oh man the water is freezing(i like to walk in about knee deep, so i can get to some casting spots), but me and my cousin atleast 10 each this week. THe most i had was 15 and the most my cousin had as 16. We had a total of about 29 today. So I'll stop fishing when the water gets to cold for me to take a walk in:) lol.

Floating worms?
I know tubeworms tend to float..For me atleast lol. But they have no action on the surface.
