  1. For me its on the water and other people. Like my casting, hookset etc is on the water. But like spots where fish spawn, or a good place to fish, or what bait to use in a certain time and area is from other people.
  2. Man you guys are so lucky to have a grandfather or a father, even a grandmother introducing you to fishing! I introduced myself at the age of 8, when i saw the rods in kmart. Then i found out my cousin was into fishing and here i am now. I don't have any pics... :'(
  3. I heard that bucktail jigs are made of deer hair? Like what are the advantages of the deer hair and lets say another type of hair?
  4. I'll die before i can drive. Im only 16 and scored a 19.. ;D

Those types of lure are topwater i believe. Zoom's horny toad are underwater like any other lure.
  7. Well this is kinda hard to describe but, make ur hand like a fork. pointer, middle and ring finger. middle finger out alitle, bout 1 inch from the two other fingers(your pinky does nothing) Basically go down on the eel and use ur thumb, its how i get the eels when i hook'm. It works for me, its a little trick my dad taught me.
  8. Yea. It constantly changes dramatically. From hot to cold. Just yesterday its snowing. And this weekend is gonna be like almost 70 degrees.
  9. I'm a lefty. But like, do you have to have a baitcaster to flip/pitch? I don't know why you guys use it, but i can basically do anything a baitcaster can with a spinning reel.
  10. St croix triumph at dicks. Great rod, i have one. Medium action, fast action. Love it.
  11. I would cut that part, not to much just enough so theres no rust. If you have or know someone who can weld, that'd be perfect. But jb weld is just as good. If you do, cut it, prep it, and put the jb weld on there. Jb weld is probably, if not harder than the metal itself. I know for a fact from experience its really good.
  12. I tend to fish year round and well, during the cold days my hands are freezing! I mean the weather is 40 or lower, winds vary from day to day. I mean my hands go numb. Are there gloves that could keep my hands warm and dry? Of course i need grip, to tie on hooks, baits, etc. ANd of course when catching fishies, my hands get wet so it makes it even colder.
  13. Man i wish my school held something like this. Im not in virginia unfortunately. Good luck finding people.
  14. Man dude where do you live at? I could use use some good size bass like that! This year for me the bass fishing has been alittle slow. I don't even catch anything near that size. 2 years ago i use to catch'm that size. They just dissapeared on me.
  15. Oddly enough, Saturday(1/6/07) was 71 degrees up in New Jersey so what the hell, I grabbed my rod and went fishing! That day i went out, caught a couple crappie, 2 bass. In the Early Afternoon i caught this crappie. Pretty good size for around here. Later on i Caught this MONSTER! He put up a good fight. Then later on into the evening... That one fought alot. I had to tire him out. I was fishing on a bride with 4lb test so i had to work him alittle. I was fishing with my cousing.(In one of the pics you can see his feet) What a day.
  16. Brazil i believe it is. Amazon river for some good ol' peacock bass. And those hot hot brazilian women ;D for saltwater.....Anywhere that i can catch some good tarpon.

Basically anything you can see ;D I usually shoot carp, they always jump and lie around.
  18. For me i have been catching them with a 1/32 jig with a 1 inch yellow, neon grub with glittler inside. They have been pouding it the past couple weeks. My biggest is around 2lbs give or take.

How much did this cost you?
  20. I think its decreasing. Most of the kids nowadays always rather go to the mall or movies. Its normal, but, im one of the oddballs in the group. Im the one always fishing on fridays-sundays rather than going to the mall or some stupid stuff.
  21. Im with bucketmouth, not quite old nuff for a license yet:) hehehe
  22. Avid your a funny person. Thats not true all of the time, this one time i was in a pond, the old man told me to cast right in between two stumps, first cast, nada, 2nd cast BOOM 5lb bass. I say stumps, and lily pads are where they are at i think. That and north west.
  23. I caught a frog before. I hate those things. It was on a senko, a kinami one(it was blue with little sparkley things). I just set the rod down to pick up my bro's bass, and it ate my senko, ripped my senko.
  24. Yea i think KingFish are only up north. I just went out with my new st croix today, had the worst luck. NOTHING. Man i don't even know how this thing sets! I guess i have to wait till tommorow. But so far this thing is pretty light, and casts great!
  25. Big t im up north in jersey. King fish is up here, and no where else i think(from what my cousin says). As for now the penn is fine for me. Its just not made for freshwater action lol. Bream master- your rod is a heavy action, mines is a medium. You probably got the saltwater triumph.
