I usually use a 4/0 VMC swimbait hook. 3.8" Fats. Rarely throw them weighted but that's just me.

You can definitely score a Stradic FJ in the $100 range, possibly less. Shoot, could probably find a used FK for $150.

I use spinning gear 70% of the time. Own 6 spinning set ups and if im not using PP I have either invizx or trilene big game. I enjoy both and they are pretty easy on the wallet. Plan on giving Yo Zuri Hybrid a try this year.

I use VMC flat shad jig heads. I use BPS Speed Shads though. Keitechs are great but maybe give those a shot too.

Currently rigged on a 4/0 Gamakatsu EWG. Might hit the Walmart on the way out tomorrow and pick up some 5/0.

I use 10lb Big Game for top water and jerkbaits. Really like the stuff. Great price for 1500 yards of line.

Had the day off today so I figured I'd head up to Bass Pro to pick up a couple packs of jelly worms since I've never used em before. Ended up with no jelly worms and a Stradic. So weak.

Caught a few dinks late this afternoon. Gonna head back tomorrow. Good to be back out. Looks like this weather is here to stay.
