  1. Smithwick Rattlin Rogue, silver wth black back, hard to beat.
  2. I really like Falcon rods. You can pick up the Original for $89-$99 in a bunch of different actions and models.
  3. Just got me a new Garmin 351C and just wondering if I should take it off when trailering or leave it on, My old fishfinders have probably never been taken off and they are probably 15 years old and still working. So do you take your electronics off or just leave them on.
  4. Just got a new Plueger Supeme XT, got to get a new rod now !!! Come on Black Friday Sale !!!!
  5. I use to fish about a 15 acre lake. The owner only let a few fish but didn't want you to keep any fish. It got to where you could only catch smaller fish, I told the owner that he need to start keeping a bunch of the smaller fish but he didn't buy it. I finally quit fishing it.Some people just will not listen.
  6. For now I am using a Guido Hibdon Diawa 6'3" Finess Rod with a new Plueger Supreme XT. I am using 7lb. Sniper and the usually Z Man heads and TRD. I am thinking about changing the rod to a St Croix 6'9' ml. and go with 10lb. braid and 7lb leader.Just started using the Ned Rig so I am still learning it.
  7. I agree with others that you can't beat a Pfleuger either the President or Supreme. I just bought the 30 Supreme series, weights 7.1 oz.. It is the XT which is going to run a more than $100. I caught mine a Wal-Mart for $107 which was a real deal.
  8. My name is Tom and I live outside of the Jackson area and fish the Ross Barnett Reservoir. I just started back fishing this year after not fishing for 12 years. I told my wife when I retired I was going to buy me another bass boat and start back fishing. Well I did just that but waited two years after retirement. I fished a bunch in the 80's and 90's, if fact, that about all I did besides work. I can tell you tackle sure has changed, I guess I got sticker shock looking to buy new tackle. After trying some new Lew's reels, I had to replace my old ones, the newer one are so much better. Also there are new techniques that I never knew of just as the Ned Rig. Well thanks to this forum I am catching up to new equipment and techniques. Well got to load up and go fishing, thanks to all for a great forum.
