  7. I left Dads house in Pittsburgh this morning for the 5 hour trip back to Trenton Ohio.I planned on hitting a Gander Mountain in Columbus to pick up an Avid X. I went to a Gander and handled a 7' MF and thought it felt nice.I then picked up a 6'8" MXF and was blown away. Using the 20% off coupon I walked out of the store $178.00 lighter in the wallet.   10. I'm going to pull the trigger on a 7' MF Avid X casting rod. I've looked at tons of reviews and despite some saying it's not the best with leader knots due to the micro guides.I'm 99.9% sure I'm buying one. Is there anything you guys can think of to convince me not to buy it? Thanks

  16. I'm a diehard Shimano guy,But a deal on a President came my way and I bought a 30.I put it on a 6'6" MF split grip Premier.It balances perfectly and I plan on using it as one of my Smallie rigs.

  19. Last weekend the Bass Pro in Cincy had tons of them on clearance racks
  20. Went to Bass Pro saturday morning and turned a old reel in.Used my coupon to buy a 6930 President,My first. I'm a diehard Shimano spinning guy but I'll admit the President is a pretty nice reel. I hung her on a 6'6" split grip St Croix Premier.

  22. It's easily my favorite and most versatile rod.I use it to fish for saugeye and smallies in the Great Miami and also for largemouth in local gravel pits and ponds. I picked up an 852S a few months ago for 140.00 at a Field And Stream store.I used it once,Throwing tubes while fishing a gravel pit.I found it very light and responsive and it balanced well with a Saros 2500.
