  1. Found this awhile back. Hope it helps.
  2. It is when you're targeting bass.
  3. Whats to hot? I woke up to this, but still got 3 hrs on the water. I use an umbrella for shade and drink lots of water.
  4. The only problem I have with Ned, is that all fish try to eat him. Im up to 10 speices already, even had a carp bite it once.
  5. When shore fishing, I always make my first couple of cast from about 10 ft back and cast close to the shoreline. Have you ever walked up on a spot and seen a big bass swim off?
  6. Anything from Zman. I like putting a FattyZ on a shakyhead, it's like a super-sized ned rig
  7. Glad it worked for you. Sounds like you had an awesome day. Its one of my favorites to throw, especially when the bass are schooled up.
  8. It was.a knock off of the Shroomz. Same size hook in 1/10 oz. I tried these before Zman made the weedless shroomz head. Didn't care for either version with the weed gaurd.
  9. The only problem with Ned is that all fish love it. Big bass will bite it, but its usually the smaller one that get to it first or even other speices. I've caught panfish, cats, trout, even a carp on Ned. Who doesn't like catching high numbers?
  10. Try throwing a double fluke rig into the pack. If they both don't get bit immediately, the second one is usually grabbed on the way to the boat.
  11. A flat bottom pond I fish has something similar to to culvert pipe in it for structure. They are cut into 3 ft pieces and some are standing straight up, while other are laying down. There placed in various ares of the pond in groups of 3-5 pieces. They almost always hold bass.
  12. I live and fish in Las Vegas where its over 100 degrees about 4 months of the year. I have the bimini for my boat, but have found that an umbrella gives you a lot more room to fish, while still providing shade. That and lots of water!
  13. I prefer the 1/15 shroomz head, but will use 1/10 in deeper water
  14. Was thinking what he said. ^^^ 2 rods, better odds
  15. Ned, gets em all year long.
  16. IMO a dropshot rig is the easiest for a new angler to use and catch fish. Good luck!
  17. When in doubt, cast! What's the worst that could happen?
  18. I also suggest trying the FG knot. It can be frustrating at first, but once you tie it correctly, it will never fail.
  19. They should be kept in the bags. They WILL melt in your plano. Elaztech has a strange reaction to plastic. Theres a YouTube video about storing Zman plastics.
  20. I've done well with a 4 inch Zman paddlerz on a 1/16 oz weighted hook. They also make a 5 inch version and like all Zman stuff, they last forever.
  21. Ned just plain catches fish! I've fished every color with success. The only bad thing is that all fish love it. I'm up to 9 speices so far!
  22. Putting a small rubber band on the treble hooks of your crankbaits, will keep them from becoming a tangled mess. https://youtube/0Ajf56hal04
  23. Once you try the Zman ones, you won't fish the yums anymore. All of their soft plastics are fish catchers and they last forever. Try them, you'll see!
  24. Someone showed me the safety pin trick years ago and I've been using it ever since. It keeps your hooks from becoming a tangled mess and they're easy to get to.
  25. Putting hooks and swivels on a safety pin helps keep them organized and together.
