Coulple of small ones on my first time to try a jig.

I vote get good with a regular filet knife. I tried electric and they were good but a lot of trouble. No power (busted breaker-public area- where is the fuse box type deal- side not I dug an electric filet knife out of the trash can because of it lol) I would always get shocked- I'm ocd and constantly rinse fish. I also got fed up with the cord. Learned how to sharpen knives and gave up that headache. I'm not fast by any means but the electric filet knife didn't improve much either. I also get more meat with fixed blade.

I felt compelled to try jigs after this article and first cast started in them. I went to a spot that I always do well and tried other baits first to know the fish were there. I picked up my jig and began pulling them in. Nothing big just a couple of 3lbs fish maybe 4lbs. Lost a 5lbs fish (only fish I lost lol) broke the surface, rolled over, waved, shook it's head and left me yelling obscenities. Broke off a big fish in another spot. Set the hook felt a big shake and popped my 20lbs leader. I hate to admit it but think I should have checked my line. I ordered more jigs once i got off the water lol. Thanks for the tips. Thanks Blue. I'm a land locked saltwater guy who is starting to like this bass fishing thing. I haven't gotten these fish figured out yet or even close but I have seen a big improvement in my last 4 trips. I appreciate the tip and video thank you.

I really need to get off this forum. Saw a video about this lure 2 months ago on kayak bassin and didn't pay much attention to it, but this thread got me craving. My regular dealer(TW) ran out so I had to go to the bay. Anyone with experience know if it will work in the winter Deep South Texas? What is the maximum depth you would fish these? Thanks

PayPal and TW are evil. Made 3 orders. Got a jig rod and reel with line, but wait I NEEDED jigs and trailers and CR weights and beads...... Ok good...... But wait %20 off plus %10 for strike king so I got some 8XD and a lure retriever and some more rage craw plastics...... Now I gotta sale some stuff lol.

Thank you. I already did. Next outing I had I caught about a 21" bass and weighed 5.5lbs so I was happy I had a scale.

Hello I'm a salt water guy slowly becoming a real bass fisherman. I fish out of a 2015 Hobie Outback. Fish Falcon lake when I can. My personal best is a 22in bass probably 7.5lbs. Looking to break that soon.
