Salt Water help
Ive caught more saltwater fish on stingray grubs on a jighead than anything else. Chartruese is my best color. I tip them with a small piece of shrimp. But I rarely fish artificials in salt anymore. Live or dead bait !

Scent additives.... Waste of money or worth it??
Somebody gave me a bottle of some kind of garlic scent. It worked more like a repellent than an attractant for some reason...??♂️

Farewell 2020
The worse thing that happened this year for me was my closest cousin died suddenly. My wife lost her job and is still unemployed. My business however did better, partially due to the virus. Thankful I still have food to eat, God and family to love, and a lake to fish in behind the house. .

Favorite time of year and conditions to fish?
Spring. March through May. I usually fish afternoons. Overcast sky with a light breeze. Numbers and quality. I usually catch the biggest fish in summer though.

I went surf fishing today at a spot at south ponte vedra beach Ive fished since childhood. Im sure Ive caught more fish there total than anywhere else Ive surf fished. Today was nothing to write home about, but It was fun to get out there. The big clod of seaweed was my hardest fight of the day but I prevailed ?. I did have something real big on a whole small whiting. Probably a shark but he came off somehow. Also had something bite a whiting off at the hesd as I was reeling it in. Ended up with 6-7 whiting , 4 bluefish, 2 catfish, a pompano and a palometa ( cousin to pompanos. Will have sore shoulders for awhile due to all the seaweed clumps I reeled it. Still, Ive had much worse days.!!

Waking up super early is easily the worst part of fishing for me.
Mine is mostly related to the season. In the summer, Im on the water first light, done by 11 unless they’re still biting. Spring , fall and winter , I fish pm. About the only exceptions to that is when I saltwater fish from a boat, we usually leave early and its an all day event. The occasional hunting trip is always starting early too. I never set an alarm and wake up well before time to go every time...

We are screwed!
Find outlets where there is flowing water, even if its slow. Bass will stack up facing current waiting for bait fish to come through.

Got off work early today and was on the water by 3 . Very windy ( gusts over 30) I caught several on some kind of havoc craw. Most of these were under docks. Also got some on a 10 1/2 inch ribbon tail worm. Also got a few on a bama craw yum dinger. Lost another big fish reeling the yum dinger across a grass bed. He clobbered it and somehow came off. Ended up with 11 .

- Who's going fishing this weekend?
Im fixing to in the home lake in a little while. It’s warm , windy, and mostly cloudy. Seems like it might be a good spinnerbait day, and its always good with plastics!! Will post results later...- We are screwed!
Yeah our lake is full too. We got 28 inches in 2 days once several years ago , and it just got up almost level with our bulkhead area . Still way down from our house. Catfishing will be good though!! In my lake , the day or two after a rain can be good for bass.- You ever eat a LMB that you catch?
I love eating fish, including bass. They arent my favorite, but I catch more of them than other fish, so eat more of them. I manage the fishing on my small lake so I thin the herd to achieve a better average sized fish. I prefer salt water fish in general. My son and me especially catch sheepheads, redfish, flounder, and panfish like croakers, spots, and whiting. In freshwater, I love catfish, bream and bass. I dont catch many Specks ( crappie ) , but they are my least favorite to eat. When I talk about eating fish, I mean FRIED fish. If I was a condemned man , it would be my last meal!!! - Who's going fishing this weekend?
