  1. Sorry to hear that, man. But glad y’all are safe 4 weeks? That’s unreal. Prayers for a faster recovery. It’ll probably bring the city closer together than before anyway. And I hope your house ( and boat ) are ok. Take a vacation to Florida and I’ll hook you up! Cant gaurantee there wont be a hurricane here by then though...
  2. Praying for y’all @Catt
  3. Im suprised they scheduled it that way. You’ll get to play us after half our good players are injured by playing sec teams all season. I guess it works both ways though...
  4. No, that couldn’t be right. That was true where my dad was from!?
  5. I cant understand people in english when they’re wearing a mask. I get about every third word. Apparently, they cant understand me either...
  6. I like how he lowered the rod to keep the fish from jumping. Kind of rare in a kid his age.
  7. Then you also have “old time “ music, where bluegrass and country came from...
  8. Mine worked at pocahontas coal mine. He died in his early 60s, probably one of older ones to survive.
  9. My gpa was a coal miner in sw virginia. They had it hard but dad got out and got in with the railroad.
  10. Yeah , me too. Im actually more into bluegrass than country myself...
  11. When I skip under docks with spinning, I rarely have a fish wrap me up. I tend to keep more tension on the line because the fish will nearly always hit the bait as it intially falls. I immediately set the hook at the first twitch , and pull back hard while reeling fast. I also have a couple spinning reels that have a fairly high gear ratio so that helps too. My home lake docks dont have a lot of obstructions under them though.
  12. I can skip real well with spinning but not baitcasters. I especially enjoy skipping under docks. As I said on the last thread about this - the motion is similar to skipping a rock or side-arming a baseball.
  13. More bream and a cat in a half hour.
  14. Is it still available?
  15. The closest thing Ive had is hooking a trot line and cutting it to get my crankbait back. I also hooked a baby duck by mistake once when it swam over my line right when a fish bit. I missed the fish but hooked the little duck. Momma wasnt happy, so I had a friend act like he was threatening her other chicks, so she went over there while I unhooked the hooked chick. ?
  16. I was never a huge fan but he was definitely very talented and loved by many. I was fishing that day and had the radio on when they said he had passed away....
  17. Got this one on a trick worm...
