Do you just park in the gravel area across the street from the plant and just walk across the bridge down to the banks?

Mind sharing where you go/park? What do you use mostly? I've also heard mention of people fishing in little Pax behind the Ft Meade water treatment plant that's right on the south side of 32 across from the Ft Meade gate. Anyone tried that area? Looks like some decent depth driving by.

I took the tension knob assembly off of my Revo SX and put it on the S to see if it would make a difference....it did not. I'm beginning to think this is just the say the S was designed. It's an older generation so that may have something to do with it as well.

Walked around elkhorn a bit today using small spinnerbaits and throwing a senko or two. Didn't see any signs of life. I was mostly on the NW side.

All - I have an older gen Revo S that's having trouble with the spool tension dial. It screws on just fine, but has no "clicks" and goes from freely screwing on to dead tight in about a quarter of a turn. When it's tightened all the way down it doesn't slow the spool or bait from falling. I took the dial off and there's a small black hard plastic washer with a very thin metal disc underneath that has a few notches. I'm not sure how these are supposed to layer or which way they're supposed to face but I tried all combinations with no dice. Any tips? Thanks ahead of time!

Anyone use Amazon? I randomly searched a few baits and compared with places like TW, BPS etc...Amazon is rarely beaten and with a Prime membership free 2 day shipping. Just looking for other experiences.

I have a Abu Vendetta 6'3" Medium Spinner (not sure on action) that has the 2nd guide broken off. Assuming I'm still good to use it with the missing guide...what would this length and stiffness of a rod be good for? I'm drawing a blank.

Here's what I have available to me - I'm certainly willing to buy more: 1) Pflueger Presidential 6930 with 6# Vanish Fluoro, 6'9" Veritas ML/F 2) Revo SX with 12# Vanish Fluoro, 7' Guide Series Medium IM6 (Probably not a great rod, don't know action) Unpaired: Revo S Shimano Sahara 2500 Abu Garcia Vendetta Spinner, 6'3", Medium (don't know action, prob F or XF) Shakespeare Titanium IM-7 Baitcaster, 7', Medium Heavy (don't know action) I'd like to have dedicated setups for spinnerbait, one for light stuff (pflueger/veritas), and maybe one for light plastics/jigs, and one for heavy plastics/jigs. I'm not sure how to mix/match Revo S and Shimano to meet my needs (and I think I should replace the IM6 Guide Series with something better?). I also don't know what I should use the Abu Garcia Vendetta for. Any thoughts?

How's Elkhorn lake been recently? Any recommendations on where to park for shorefishing and what to throw? Spinnerbait?

I hit Little Pax yesterday morning for a few hours...didn't even see bait fish. Threw everything I had in my tackle box.

I hadn't heard Tridelphia is closed this year. That's a bummer as I was probably going to make that my primary lake. Where is this info posted? Guess I'll be trying out RG - if you have any pointers for a new guy I'd certainly appreciate it. Feel free to PM.

I'm less concerned about what rod is best as opposed to what rod and line is best for these two particular reels....since I know absolutely nothing about them - to include what type and weight of line to use.

Hey all - I've come across an old tacklebox that had a few reels in it from several years ago. They've probably been unused since 2011-2012. I have no instructions/manuals for either or these, nor do I have any rods to accompany them. So, with that said...I need to get setup to use one or both of these (I don't know the difference between them?) I've looked the current versions of these online but they seem to be different now. My S is silver with 9 bearings vs current model that's white with 7. My SX has no color accents and has 11 bearings vs the current model that has red accents and 10 bearings. I'm fishing in Maryland freshwater and will use these puppies for a variety of fishing - both in rivers/steams as well as lakes/resevoirs. Looking for strategies on how to set these up in terms of line weight, rod length/action, and anything else! I don't really have a price range in mind but don't need to be buying 300 dollar rods. Thanks ahead of time!!

Hey all - I'm new to MD and am looking for a few starter spots. I'm interested in most freshwater fish (for now)...not really into carp fishing. I would love to find some great bass/panfish spots and would love to catch some big cats, too (without having to go to potomac)I live near BWI so I'm looking for places pretty close. I don't have a boat but do have a car topper that I plan on using in Tridelphia once it opens up. For now I need some starter spots for shore fishing and/or wading.I don't mind a little bit of a hike and don't mind getting dirty. So far I'm going to try out:1- Little Patuxent on the Patuxent Research Refuge2- Little/mid Patuxent near Savage ParkI've heard recommendations on a few other places but none of them came with instruction on where to park et cetera.If anyone feels like sharing their knowledge with a fellow angler I'd certainly appreciate it!
