Black Bass

I have a 1977 Ranger 155A that uses the Chicago Lock Co. 4260-1 T-handle lock that need to be replaced. Do you have suggestions of where I might find these locks. Chicago Lock Co. is no longer in business.

I just purchased a '77 Ranger 155A. For seats on the front and back platform there is a 1 3/4" hole/pipe (approx.). Is there anything out there that will convert the 1 3/4" base to the current 3/4" pin(s) on pedestals. Or, will Cabela's Swivl-Eze Snap-Lock Pedestal Assembly Post Item:IH-010449 work? Cabela's ad states " Polished, anodized aluminum posts are interchangeable with bases that have 1.77" diameter holes."

Catt, I'm contemplating going to Toledo Bend this Fall for five days and would like a good teacher/guide to give me some pointers. Vaughn's K & K at $28.50 per night sounds good. Do you know any guides on Toledo Bend that are good teachers?

DE Lee, so stainless steel and aluminum don't interact being dissimilar metals?

What screws, bolts, and nuts do you recommend using with aluminum? Reading this forum, I see that I shouldn't use stainless steel. Will brass work?

I found pictures of two current DuraCraft bass boats on the net. I hope to deck mine much like those two. It has a 1995 Johnson 48/50 HP outboard that is in great condition. This boat moves out.

I read somewhere recently that the shaft length on a trolling motor should be the length between the top of the bow plus 18". The top of the bow on my boat is 21" above the water so the optimum length of shaft, according to the article, should be 39". I'd like a digital, possibly wireless, TM 55 lb thrust. However, looking over the MotorGuides at Cabela's, I only find the "Freshwater Series Bow Mount" FW54FB that has a 42" shaft. Do you have any suggestions for TMs? Thanks

If it's not what you want, plus it is narrow, don't spend much money on repairs. You can get a brand new 12' ALUMACRAFT jon boat at Academy for under $530. Put the least amount of money you can into it to make it usable until you can find what you want. JMHO
