  1. Well, my 803C GLX came in today...with a mangled first guide. What a perfect excuse to change my order to the NRX version Scott at monstertackle aka OPS has handled it great so far. I told him I would pay the difference to the NRX (~$65) and then jokingly told him to get them to upgrade me for my inconvenience. He said he would talk to his contact and see what he can do...lol Gore Warning!
  2. I switched to left hand retrieve recently...I am never going back. I don't know why I forced myself to do it differently after growing up using spinning reels exclusively.
  3. I have a pair of Fleming Beach Mauis that I bought as non-RX then sent in to RX lenses put into them. Later I got contacts and wanted to be able to wear these, but I realized when I sent them in to have RX lenses put in they did not send back my original non-rx lenses when they returned them. I called, explained, and they sent a set of non-rx lenses to my local Maui RX dealer who swapped them for me at no charge.
  4. 1. Just saying 580 is normal 2. Yes, you can just tighten/loosen the screws to get the hinge resistance you desire. 3. Heat up the temple arm with a hair dryer and adjust it until they sit flat when upside down on a table. Yep...That is why I switched to Maui Jim for both my rx and regular. They just sent me a pair of lenses the other week because I had a slight concern with my 3 year old pair.
  5. Sunline Super Natural Mizu Blue.
  6. Thanks! I have used a NRX and it is spectacular...I am sure you will love yours. I am sure they are worth the price difference, especially considering resale. I just knew if I bought one I would want to buy 4...lol. Sorry for going off topic OP. Now get out there and get yourself a Stradic. Either do that trade in at Bass Pro or Amazon has them for $167 shipped.
  7. Haha...nope. I fought the monkey off to a tune of 3 GLXs and an IMX...lol.
  8. I absolutely love it. I think I actually like it better than my Stradic ci4+.
  9. Stradic. Last week I bought a Pflueger Supreme XT...had it for two days and took it back and bought another Stradic.
  10. Swap the lines and go with the 7'1" MH with 30# and 5.2:1 You don't "need" anything new, but you might find your hookup percentage better with a moderate action rod.
  11. I'm about to see screw it and just pull the trigger.
  12. So...when and where can I order one?
  13. If...and that is a big IF I was to get a NRX, I would want the most versatile baitcasting rod. I am thinking it would be the Mag Bass 843c. I don't really ever throw anything less than 1/4oz on a casting rod.
  14. Ha...In the last two weeks I have bought two Loomis GLX, a Loomis IMX, a Loomis E6X, a St. Croix Avid, and a St. Croix Premier. Not to mention a Metanium and Chronarch ci4+...My debit card is literally on fire. ...but this Spawning season should be a blast.
  15. I bet you are going to love it. I am really still fighting the urge to pick one up also.
  16. I thought you were looking for a rod. I didn't realize you needed a reel also.
  17. Thanks Goose! That is a great idea. I will switch out three of the reds for whites and take it from there. This reel feels incredible. I can't wait to give it a try. I also have a Chronarch ci4+ coming today...it will be interesting to see how they compare.
  18. Thanks. I plan on throwing mostly 1/4oz-1/2oz crankbaits with mine. Would you recommend the white or the red brake blocks?
  19. You said you may be able to make an exception for price. You can get a 6'10" M/XF St. Croix Rage from their factory store for $90. That is a lot of rod for the money. http://stcroixrods.com/shop/freshwater/rage-spinning-rods/
  20. Good rod suggestions...but I hate Floro...put me down as a 100% braid man.
  21. Haha...the bait monkey has really gotten hold of me lately. Thanks.
