My favorite jigs for crappie are Bobby Garland baby shad. These things awesome, you can also fish them under a bobber for less experience angler. My favorite colors are electric chicken for stained water and white or blue for clearer water. Another good jig is chubbys mini mites. These work great tipped with wax worm or small minnow. Good luck.

Well guys I only had one hit today and missed it. It was cold and windy but great to be back out on the water.

First fishing trip tomorrow. Anyone have any lure advice? Thinking about starting with red eye shad or chatter bait. Usually don't start fishing until April.
