  1. Seems like alot of work to put in two parallel sets... unless you are really running through that much battery a day. If you were going to do that 4 battery approach you could just as easily take two extras and just replace the other two when they run down.
  2. Won't get a knife any sharper, will just do it faster. That and diamonds last a bagillion times longer. Over time your stones can get wavy and inconsistent, making it much harder to get a good edge. I've heard good things about that system but I have not tried it myself.
  3. Great bait that has good action with more consistent hook ups than the average soft swimbait.... HOWEVER.... they have below average durability at best, and usually require replacement after just a couple fish. Any advice on how your keeping it slid up on the jig? I've tried glue but it seems to only add maybe one fish at best and become more of a mess than anything. Another tip: Use one of your favorite jig N pig heads (skirtless) instead of the stock head that comes with them. The weed guard makes these killer in and around brush piles where the normal one hangs instantly.
  4. Its not so much the record as the opponent which just beat them... and those opponents who almost beat them (ie Redskins). Seems like maybe those many other close games the Saints had maybe weren't such flukes after all. Hopefully they turn it around soon, I'd like to seem them go somewhere for once.
  5. Well I'm a Colts fan and I think its rediculous. Honestly I don't think the 16-0 season matters to the fans like you might think. Sure its cool to say that but it really dosn't matter much... but why not try for it right? Not too many teams have had this chance, and this is the second time the Colts have thrown away the chance at a perfect season for resting players. Now the debate to resting players... thats another issue. I've read this book six times, and let me tell you, the last chapter title reads the same every time... "The Rusty Colts are bumped out of the Playoffs". The argument for resting was good the first two or so times, now its just old. It plain dosn't work and our management can't seem to see that trend. The year we won it we faught like crazy through every game. What makes them think that this year will be different with resting players? The players are PAID to play and NEED to play and WANT to play to stay sharp..... PERIOD. Injury is a risk you take 16 games out of the year... deal with it. I'd rather have Manning put out the rest of the year with a knee injury than watch him painfully wallow in rust with his receivers and lose to San Diego again (no offense Matt).
  6. X2 - Its what they are designed to do. Those are one of the best inventions ever. Once you have everything in place, I recommend spraying each connection with battery termial sealant. It just helps keep it from corroding with all of the combinations of elements and charging you'll put its way. Saves you some possible frustration in the long run and keeps everything looking nice.
  7. To me that says 2 things... 1) Glocks are evidentally cheap enough that a state can afford to buy that many for its officers. 2) They may still be somewhat reliable... as long as your officers are actually reporting every single misfire / jam. To me glocks have their place (like stated above) but when it comes to reliability they fall middle to end of the pack. Sigs are great guns and very reliable. They are used by the SEALS, Dept Homeland Security, Coast Guard, and many others. You don't see too many glocks in the upper teirs. Hold them side by side and wiggle the slide on them... alot of the glocks have some minor play/wiggle.. I havn't found a SIG that wiggles at all. Will a glock save your life from the bad guy? Probably a 99.999% chance it will, so I wouln't fret if you have one. Alot of people stand by them, which says something for them. Personally I'm a Kimber guy.
  8. Rivers for MVP?? Naaa River's plethora of gargantuous receivers for MVP?? Most certainly. Even Trent Edwards could throw a million TDs to those guys. All you need to learn is how to throw a 10 ft tall lob pass, and they do the rest. In all seriousness, Rivers isn't bad but I do believe the rest of the team dosn't get enough credit for their success. I'll admit as a Colts fan I really don't want to see you guys on the path to the SB, for some reason we don't match well against that team. But just one thing.... IF you would end up beating us again this year, please do something with it other than just dying off in the next round. At least let one of us win it. RW... I wouldn't be too disappointed. It looks like your Broncs will still have a great shot a making the playoffs... but they better get more consistent.
  9. NO I like the subtle action of the tails, and when worked slowly its hard for a big old bass to pass up such a fat and lazy meal. Its one of my favoirte cold water / ice off trailers, works wonders for some reason.
  10. I may have to change my last comment. I just read an article that said Coach Caldwell is going to approach next week as any other game... implying the starters are going in. He did mention that any injuries would sit however. Who knows, he may suprise us and actually try.
  11. I don't think you'll have to worry about it.... my colts already seem to have the mindset that they are going to rest their players and put the starters on month long vacation. All fattened up and lazy they probably won't even show up for the first play off game. It won't be the first (or even second) time they've thrown away a perfect season chance for the chance to rest their starters. The Saints seem like they are going to be greedy and go for it regardless it what it sounds like. Hopefully their good players stay intact. I don't mind the Saints making it there, I just don't want tears when Manning sends them back minus the Lombardi.
  12. I wouldn't make it a specific conversation that you planned out. Just maybe sometime when its just you two sitting around drinking some "juice boxes" or something bring it up lightly like "so you really think she's the one?" and go from there. Talking to him about it is an obligation if there is truely a reason behind it, but starting it off "Hey that chick your gonna marry sucks" may hurt your relationship more than anything, and will probably have no success.
  13. They are a good portable fish finder, but more of a depth finder than a fish finder. Great for what you are talking about, I use one on my 10 ft pelican. Its also nice to take ice fishing with you. If you turn the sensitivity up you can sometimes locate fish in your hole with it, but its not as sensitive or clear as some other screen may be.
  14. Seems like the end of the debateto me, or maybe you think the Patriotsjust "got lucky"? : Orrrrrr.... the tapes they had already stock piled were recent and relevant enough to still help with those 17 games... the longer the time period and more the teams have changed since, the worse they get respectively. In all seriousness, I'd say its a number of things, but if Brady didn't have moss to throw those loose "hail Mary's" to they would be lucky to be a .500 team this year. They are mostly average passes at BEST, hes as tall as a giraffe and jumps like a kangaroo with super glue gloves.Thats funny because Wes Welker has almost 30 more catches than Moss does. Welker has 1,053 yards on the year, Moss has 1,058. And they are a .583 team with Moss. ;D They are just banged up.I wonder what the 49er's would have been like without Jerry Rice or the Cowboy's without Emmit Smith... : Correct, both have very similar yardage. But.... Wes Welker 4 TDs, none of which were thrown > 20 yards, only one of which occcured farther away than the Red Zone. Randy Moss 9 TDs, only 4 of which occured in the Red zone. The other 5 were > 20 yards out, and 3 of those 5 were on the Patriots side of the 50 yard line. Your argument of 30 more passes (for the same reception yards essentially) to Welker only strengthens my argument. Like I said, Randy Moss is the hail mary play maker style receiver that Brady throws prayers to. His yard / catch average goes up by 5 yards/reception when the Patriots are behind on the scoreboard. Wes Welker is a good receiver where good passes need to be made, but hes an over the top plunker for the most part (scoring wise).
  15. Ugghhh, don't even get me started with the Steelers. They have leprecons in their pockets and seem to win so many games they shouldn't, especially in the playoffs. Nice to see Oakland doing something again, they can beat the good teams but seem to have trouble otherwise. They could be good in the near future.

  17. ooohhh... X2... Good point, I change my recommendation to this!
  18. Not sure what that has to do with the price of eggs in China? That is an irrelevant example, as Way2Slow stated, it has to do with the thermal or "heat exchange" properties of the plastic being dramatically less than metal. A gas tank is more or less an exclosed space so any quick thermal changes happen much slower through plastic wall than metal (nothing like the car example, where everything is directly exposed to the elements). While outside air can get in some through venting etc, its much less of an issue (Not to mention winter air is generally much "drier" / less humid than summer air, so whatever comes in is probably going to be drier than what its replacing.). However, it is still possible to get some condensation in your plastic tanks. Now on that note, I don't see a problem with filling it up, it will infact decrease the amount of air if something were to go wrong. Just add stabilizer, its what its for. I have did nothing more than run the water out of my motors every winter and add stabilizer and they start first turn every spring
  19. Interesting little article here, sounds like they are pulling out all stops to keep these things out of the Great Lakes. We have them in our Indiana rivers now, and I can say they are an ordeal to say the least. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_great_lakes_asian_carp
  20. X2 on resetting to factory default settings. Also, are you running more than one fish finder? If so, try setting your ping speeds different on each unit, it may be picking up the ping from the other one giving you false readings.

As a Colts fan this is a hard one for me to watch. On one hand I'd like the other undefeated team to fall but on the other I really dislike the arch-nemesis Patriots and Mr. Brady. Anything that could help keep the Patriots out of the playoffs is good in my book. I'll probably pull for the Saints, but either way its going to be a good game.

The Chargers are one of the luckiest teams in football for no farther than they go. Somehow they pull off all of these barely winning seasons and make the playoffs at the expense of the choking teams in their division. Rivers has a huge variety of targets to pass to, none of which are under 8 feet tall or have less than a 3 foot vertical.. one of the best receiving groups in the league. If anything they under achieve quite a bit. I have to give them their props, they have knocked my Colts out a couple time from the playoffs (they always just to go on to lose I might add), for some reason they just don't match up well with the Chargers. I'm hoping the Broncos hold on to this one this year and keep the Chargers out. Guess well see this week.
  23. I don't see how his Defensive would see it as a slap in the face. To me, he had enough confidence to believe that IF Brady failed, the Defense could hold the Colts from scoring a touchdown from 30 yards out. Either way its silly to argue about how the call "lost" the game for the Patriots. Don't let the game get to that point and you never have to worry about it. With a 17 point 4th quarter lead, I'd say there were areas the Patriots Offense and Defense BOTH screwed up to let it reach that final pinnacle of a deceision any way. The Colts plain outplayed them on both sides of the ball in the 4th.
  24. As a Colts fan, I relish the wins where Pats fans get there hopes up, to be squashed in the final quarter of play by Manning (*See 2006 playoffs as well). In all honesty the Colts probably should not have won, but its not like you've never seen Manning do a 2 minute drill from his side of the field late in the game, either way you were going to most likely get drove on and Mr. Hoodie knew it. Patriots gave us a few turnovers that were key, but on the other hand, Peyton threw two wobble ducks that were intercepted by the Pats. Those interceptions accompanied by several dropped ball huge plays by the Indy rookie receivers were alot of potential points lost. Either team could have won by more than one possession, but thats why its football, it works both ways.
  25. I would second the chance that there is an overflow in your tank, hardly any come without them. Its probably just a valve or plug that you need to open up. This way the aerator or "fill" can run non-stop when needed. Usually, most people fill their livewells almost full. Recirculation is used when you don't want to bring any of the outside water in for some reason (i.e. too hot). Recirculation can also be used to aerate the livewell while your boat is out of the water, at a weigh-in for instance. In either case, only recirculating your water is not enough. While it may oxygenate your water just fine, over time, ammonia and other fish wastes will build up in the water and it needs to be refreshed periodically. I don't like to push this boundary so generally I run alot of fresh water. I put timers on both my aerator and recirc lines, so I can set the recirc to come on more often and the aerator to add fresh water occaisionally (excess goes out overflows). If you don't have an overflow you'll need to pump out once in awhile and refresh that old water. Its kind of a judgement call on how often.
