  1. Its funny you mention that Tenka, the "punting" thing. As much as we promote proper handling of fish, the Fish Commission in PA at Glendale Lake actually encourages not releasing bowfin back into the water. They were originally introduced to control a severely undersized panfish population, but have since gone on to become a dominant predator in the lake. I dont think I agree with "punting" them back into the lake, though. As to the original post, yep....thats a big 'un!!
  2. Got this in an email, I am sure others have seen it but I thought it was pretty amazing how the human mind works.... 3. Haha, thats like an unwritten rule while fishing with friends. Your fish are my fish too!!! ;D
  4. Thats ridiculous!! Awesome pics
  5. Congrats Travis, I believe a fishing trip back to PA is in order!!! BTW, I think the degree is in Administration of Justice for those who wondered... Wayne
  6. That's an awesome pic Trig, thanks!!!
  7. Same bait, different depths.
  8. SWEEEEEEEEEEET!!!! My mouth is watering already...
  9. Howdy Russ. Good to see you are back on the keyboard!!
  10. OHHH, no way!!! I guess when it rains, it pours!!! That sux!!
  11. I remember those pics, those were great. Sour grape *** if I recall correctly.... Wayne
  12. Exactly what he said. Most baits, as many know, are all about confidence. VAbacklash has confidence in his "old school" (as he calls it ) setup, and others have stated what their preferences are. Whatever you decide to use, make sure you are confident that you are going to get on fish, no matter what. Good luck. Wayne
  13. Blue Eyes, See if you can get a report on how the Mudster is doing. I think we all want him to catch a big ole Mook fish in Texas!!! Thanks, Wayne
  14. I will snap the rod tip up, down, side to side....whatever I feel like the most realistic action is. I snap the tip up when I want to keep the bait from going too deep, down when I want to keep it out of sight.
  15. Like I said, not an expert. I can only give ya what I was using, seemed to work just fine for what I was doing. 7' MH rod, 6.3:1 reel, 30lb spiderwire stealth, 12lb leader varied between 1/2 and 3/4 oz weights using trick worms, brush hogs and lizards. Wayne
  16. I think you may have some wrong info....the fluoro will actually stretch, not the braid. 50lb fluoro is HUGE, to say the least. You would need a serious reel to hold a decent amount of line. I am not an expert, just started C rigging last year. But I did use braid without any problems. Wayne
  17. I work at Lowes part time as my second job. To the people complaining about the lack of service at Dicks....Have you ever considered a P/T career in retail? I am sure that with all your expertise and customer service credentials, you would be able to deliver the superior service that is lacking in your local stores. This is the same thing as the complaints that keep popping up about UPS. Unless you have been there and know exactly why there are so few people to help, then I dont know that your opinions carry that much weight. I dont suppose any of you took a pro-active approach to the situation, talked POLITELY to a manager and voiced your concern? Believe me, when you think the absence of good help is ridiculous.....You should see how ridiculous the scene is when customers puff out their chest, raise their voices and make a$$es out of themselves. To the people that say high schoolers and senior citizens work there, how would you feel if that was your kid or one of your parents. Have a little common sense, give someone a break. They are there trying to make a living (or some extra spending money) just like the next guy. Wayne
  18. I am liking the thought of California more and more with each one of your posts... LOL
  19. Nice fish. A word of advice...you may want to start posting your results in the "My Outing" section of the forum. Mod Squad is bound to move it when they get the chance. Wayne
  20. Mexico, El Salto or Baccarac. The amazon for peacocks.
  21. You are throwing swimbaits on 2lb line? Crazy dude, just crazy..... Wayne
  22. Yeah, I would have to agree. No need for jealousy. If its that bad, pack up all your crap, move to Cali and post your own pics. Wayne
  23. Thats funny, kinda sounds like my living situation. I have an apartment, 420/mo rent. Dont want to move out b/c I am saving to buy a house and everything else around me is over 600/mo. I think you might fit in well further south. There are good people out there, usually they seek out their own. Wayne
  24. That "Cracked" series is awesome. Prices comparable to LC's. Not bad at all.... Wayne
  25. So, you are willing to move?
