I have a hi point 9mm that I bought when I just turned 21. It cost around 120 bucks. They are ok, but I dont know that I would trust my life to it. It has a tendency to jam, it is heavy compared to other semi handguns and it feels kinda cheap. Is it fun to shoot? Heck yeah, any pistol is. Would I recommend it if you can afford a better pistol? Probably not.

Ok, again... Did it occur to you that it was a crappy person, not a crappy company. Granted, I realize that the employees are the face that the public sees. I dont think this particular thread was created for anyone to air their complaints, just a contributing member (mod) stating that he takes pride in what he does, does his job well and is trying his best to make sure people receive their packages during one of the busiest time of the year. IMO, keep your gripes to yourself on this one. If you have an issue with a particular company, maybe try voicing it in an intelligent, tactful manner in the appropriate location. Merry Christmas. Being as though you seem religious, I will pose my question this way... Did God then put bass in Florida and Texas so that you may fish for sport? In reading your posts, you are a staunch supporter of catch and release fishing which ultimately is for SPORT. Just me being me.... Wayne

What is the purpose of the length rules?

I just got a new 6'6" MH spinning rod....problem is I dont currently have a reel to pair it with. Just to try the rod this weekend, I borrowed my buddy's Gander Mountain Guide series reel and I was not all that impressed. I will be doing general plastic work....jigheads, senko types, etc....with this rod using no more than 12lb mono/fluoro. This weekend I was at GM and saw a Pflueger President reel that looked really great. I also saw a St Croix Avid reel, which I didnt know Croix made reels. I am open to suggestions on either of these two reels or any other companies you may recommend. HAHA, also, keep in mind that I am not rich...$100 and under please. Wayne

Ok, we finally got some decent weather here in PA and I was able to fish for a couple of hours on both Saturday and Sunday in some local ponds. I was trying out my new Accurist and I was determined to hook something this weekend. Saturday, I started out slow rolling a spinnerbait through whatever structure I could find, and managed to have one come up and slap at it...no hook up though. After throwing this for a while with no luck, I switched over to a LC Pointer. This is the first time I have ever seen one of these in the water and I must say that I was impressed with the action. At the end of the evening, I had a pickerel follow the pointer up to the bank, miss it three different times and then....BAM!!! He completely smashes the jerk. Needless to say, brought a smile to my face after going fishless for the last whole month. Sunday, I forced myself to slow down and fish a shakey head, 1/8th oz with a Zoom finesse worm (pumpkin/blue fleck). Lo and behold, I caught two green backs out of some laydowns. Another first for me as I had never fished shakies before. Once again, big smile at the end of the night. With colder weather in the forecast, this might be the last for a while.
