  1. Caught two locally today, first time out with the boat for 2011. Water temps were right at 50.
  2. Hmmm, reeling in a trout and a bigger fish came up and ate it. That doesnt sound like anything I might like to try. Swimbaits don't work in PA. Nope. ;D
  3. lead free jigs is made out from tungsten like keitech model jig 1 or keitech football I don't think the Megastrike jigs are made of Tungsten. I believe the non-lead jigs are made from tin.
  4. I come down 22 from Dville, through Hollidaysburg and Geeseytown. Do you use the launch by the dam or the back side by the stump field? I might have to bring my bow too. There are some big ol' carp in that place.
  5. Agreed. Look at it this way...You were comfortable paying 7k for a truck you can get for 5700. You can fix a good bit of stuff or buy a good bit of gas for $1300.
  6. Sean, 36+ is a HUGE musky for a lake that when I was growing up the PA DCNR and PFBC insisted that there were NONE in the lake. You should see the size of the walleyes in that place where there are NONE. ;D I was night fishing there once, drowning worms for catfish with one of my buddies from back home. Guy throwing a jitterbug about 30 yds away gets freakin' BLOWN UP and lands one over 40". The park ranger had a tough time explaining that one away. ;D
  7. You won't see me up there until at least two weeks after the trout opener. I've seen that lake get turned into a froth by all the Powerbait dunkers. ;D You ought to see some of the muskies in that place too. 36"+, no problem.
  8. I would have a tough time paying 7k for a vehicle with 100k miles.
  9. I can't tell if that is sarcastic or not. Following along with the thread, seems like ol' BC made out like a bandit.
  10. Local ponds are ice free down here in South Central. Haven't checked any of the local electric only lakes, but I'm sure they are ice free as well. Someone hit me up with a date to fish Canoe Creek. Im sure my parents would like to see me and I always wanted to throw the big trout lures up there for bass and musky.
  11. I had been using Costa Tropic Stars with the CR39 interchangeable lenses. Just got the Zane in 580 Copper and there is a WORLD of difference.
  12. Glad to hear. He'll be happy he could help, even from the BR grave. ;D
  13. Result of the PM I sent you? If so, I'll let him know. I dont have the email address.
  14. You want me to squeeze you into a poodle cage?
  15. LOL - indeed. Out of all Society's trappings, the sense of entitlement that someone people display is the worst for me. You want something? Earn it. I work at the welfare office. I'll see your "sense of entitlement" and raise it tenfold. ;D Robert, you sir have more restraint than I...
  16. LOL, you know I don't pay retail for anything. ;D
  17. It looks like I can't really go wrong. I can get three a year and they personalize them for me. Wish Loomis and Shimano would do this too. ;D
  18. I'm looking more at "heavier" unweighted plastics. Flukes, senkos. I also prefer a 7' spinning rod.
  19. I actually like the idea of a full rear for the crank rod. Ok, got that one picked. Now, perhaps a 7'M Spinning rod. (Grip does not matter to me on this one) Weightless plastics would be the main focus. LTB Tube rod maybe? Spinnerbait/buzzbait rod would be the other probability. LTB Sweeper?
  20. Unless you MUST have a split grip, the Avid version (AVC70MHM) is every bit as good, if not better. What about for the same price, which one then?
  21. I'm considering the Big Cranker 7'MH LTB. I can get two other rods through this deal and having a tough time deciding.
  22. Have you ever cranked up 60' of anchor rope with one of those pulleys? I've cranked up 40' and I gotta tell ya, not looking forward to it anytime soon.
  23. Robbie, check out www.blueknobauto.com I think we talked about that dealership before. Great people to deal with and high turnover of inventory.
  24. Which of these do you prefer and why? Anyone notice differences in sensitivity, weight, overall feel? Thanks.
