Welcome to the 1990s. Do you know how many people pick up big baits, hoping for the "magic bullet" and they don't catch a single thing? It is a craze for most and it's certainly not for everyone. You have to understand how to use the baits or you'll just be the next guy that I buy discounted big baits from... Here is your proof, not in a tank. You're welcome.

Do the articles talk about how bass ambush their prey? Apply it to the baitfish you DO have in your lake. All those you mentioned are baitfish to me. Anything a bass can and does eat, to me, is prey. Bass will use travel routes, ambush points, cover and structure whether they are chasing shad or other baitfish. You just have to know how to apply it to your specific lake.

Referring to cartridges as 'bullets' and magazines as 'clips' are two of my most enraging pet peeves. If you aren't 12 years old, you should know the difference between 'bullets' and cartridges. Snobby and cranky today. MOM overload? ;D

It's not the price itself necessarily. It's the rapid ascent from "dirt cheap" to a considerable expense that really gets me. I'm 31, started driving when I was 16. Gas was under $1 when I first drove and last year it touched $4 near me and greatly exceeded it other places.
