Yes sir we are! Arrangements have been made to take it to a welder in the A.M. All is good. R/ Chris
  3. My partner and I trailed the boat on Sunday, fished Monday, Tuesday, Wed and returned to Jacksonville on Thursday morning. Day one we found the lake heavily silted up as we fished the southern end. FP-13 had a week of northerly winds and cooler temps blowing across it which shut the fish off, after 6 hours of fishing we managed only 8 smallish fish to 4 lbs. Day two was a slight improvement in water quality because the winds had switched back to a normal southerly direction and we found some fish eager to eat. We caught and released 18 up to 5 lb. Day three we found the lake was clear and the fishing was pretty hot on the edge of a large eel grass bed just off the only point in the lake. We caught 38 fish up to 7.2 lbs but had to leave them biting as around noon on the last day of our trip we drive over to a car wash and hand wash the truck, boat and trailer prior to returning to the hotel to clean up our selves, and go get a few adult beverages plus a steak dinner. We want to return next week because we are close to the end of our season but found a cracked weld on the trailer that needs to be addressed prior to rolling down an interstate. We shall see. R/ Chris

Sunscreen, head net, Bug spray. And not exactly in that order.
  13. "bluegill are about two pounds" That is what I would target in that lake!
  14. Awesome !! Congrats! Way to make adjustments to the stick bait. Gary Yamamoto is enjoying retirement in Tahiti because of it. Great read also.

  17. My partner and I traveled on Sunday. Fished Monday, Tuesday , Wed and returned to Jacksonville on Thursday. After 3 grinding days on FP-13 our totals were : Day 1- 18 LMB Day 2- 25 LMB Day 3- 12 LMB I cannot explain why the bite was so slow as April has normally been our strong month. On day 1 we fished eel grass edges all day and only found smaller males, but did weigh and photograph a spawned out female for a tourist that was 8.14 in the grass. On day 2 we pulled back and slung traps all day randomly over the vast shell bottom flats which produced more and better quality post spawned fish. Figuring we had a game plan for day 3 we started on the flats and never found the numbers or quality that we had expected. The more I think I know about our sport the more the LMB show me I do not. 18. Heading down for a 4 day adventure this afternoon. Air Temps already mid 80's and if the wind is not between 10-15 the Hydrilla gnats carry ya off.
  19. That one, was not coming off. R/ Chris
  20. Good start! Amazing difference in regions, I only have a month of my season left while our brothers to the North are just kicking it off. We stop fishing 1 June as the temps are "just to darn HOT"
  21. My guess ^^^^^^
  22. That is good for any area! Fl. Cali, or Texas.
  23. Nice work. R/ Chris
