  1. @Glenn Do E-Mail's still come out about giveaway's? I have not received any and they are not in a spam folder. I have submitted my E-mail several times.
  2. Heading down to Lake Apopka on Wed March 4th and returning to Jax on Sunday the 8th. Any advice or help would greatly be appreciated!
  3. Yesterday the club I have been a member of for the last four years had a TNT out of Palatka Fl. The week leading up to this events weather had been AWSOME with mid 80's, Southern winds and high pressure. I thought surely some of the big girls were moving into the miles of shallow spatterdock to do their thing. That weather pattern soon changed as the Sunday event neared. Sunday morning we found rain and storms approaching. 18 boats launched in the rain. My partner and I ran into a very large creek and the "Heavy Sticks" came out with Rage bugs, Rage Craws attached. We found a large stretch of spatterdock emergent vegetation and figured we would start here. My partner snatched two males from inside the pads while I had not a bite. After two hours had passed the rain had stopped and the wind began to BLOW! We struggled to keep boat control on the outside of the pads so I figured I would just swing for the fence And picked up a 6" freestyle Magdraft. After hours of throwing this heavy bait I had one blow up and missed the bait, a rather large 6' gator raced through the pads to eat it and one bass that I managed to get to the net 4.75 lbs. Our day ended with a rough and fast ride to the scales to find out the winning boat had 18lbs and big fish of the event was 8.9 lbs. I was supposed to go to Mexico Lake El-Salto @ the beginning of March, but now do to the civil unrest these plans must be canx, And our local lakes are very low so I will stay after the big fish on the St. Johns river.

Although seeing 3-5 deer per sit, I have been waiting for one of these two, to show up but this one did the other morning so I decided to tag it. I still have another buck tag so we shall see.
  8. I have been asked buy a few fellows in my bass club to join them on this trip in March. And am wondering about the logistics of taking tackle.

  10. @Glenn... Glenn, Please tell me your thoughts on Seahawks traveling across country to play the Jaguars. Seahawks are a +1 on most books. I surly like the Jaguars chances of becoming 5-1 this Sunday.
  11. I have been fishing Co-Angler in my club for 6 years now and having allot of fun with it. Not only fishing 1 Tourney a month but also catching rides several other times to either practice, or for the fun of it. Not one time after I have gotten snagged did the boater ignore my predicament and tell me to just break it off. On every occasion they try to get the boat into the skinny water and help me retrieve even during a Tourney.
  12. @Glenn I have completed Prostate Cancer treatment in N. Florida. My PSA level shot up to 9.0 from 5.2 and the Urologist and Oncologist acted swiftly. After the radiation treatment my PSA results are now .38, That was a tough few months.
  13. @N Florida Mike Cypress Lake.
  14. Caught this one on the first bite yesterday up in the shallows around cypress trees using a spinning reel, 15lb braid and 15 lb fluro leader. On a weightless trick worm. In the Fl. heat.

Spent 7 nights in Cabo San Lucas 8/29- 9/5. Went fishing two days. Day one we blew two Sailfish bites. Day two, sea's were 3-5 and building to 8-10. Caught and released one Striped Marlin and pulled the hooks on a Blue do to rough sea's.
  17. Welcome from Fl.
  18. @Pat Brown To heavy for the Fl. Heat. Thanks for the responce.
  19. Two much glove for Fl. But thanks for the reply!
  20. Searching for a new pair that lasts. Short with 1/2 finger. I have no luck with what I have bought. I just got a pair of AFTCO short pumps for grinding on Marlin (which I do) but they are two much glove for Bass fishing. What say you?
  21. Nothing that I know of. Stick with the Invisx.
  22. Beat this LOL
  23. @Tackleholic Depends on the depth but the shallows see 95*
  24. We have a very high mortality rate in the 'Dogs of summer" The club I am in uses catch, weigh release during this time "July, August" There is no reason why an individual could not keep his limit if he chooses, seeing creel limits are set with that in mind. We have one of our "trophy lakes" that does not allow organized tournaments during this time fram because of the impact and dead fish this time of year.
