ive been hearing that you need a certain rod and reel to properly fish jigs. is that just for flippin and pitchin or all jigs? i have basic spinning reel and about a 6' rod

It was bought at dicks sporting goods.

Hey guys I have a few questions on the type of tackle needed for using jigs and flippin and pitchin. I was reading one of the articles and it said that a flippin rod was recommeneded for this. Also they said they used baitcast reels. Is it possible to flip and pitch and fish jigs with a spinning reel?

this happens some to me when bank fishing.There are logs but obviously you cant pull lures through them so you have to over them or through lots of brush. Then the hook slides off and the hook is free. At least I think.

Does anyone know how much small jon boats sell for? Im looking for basically the cheapest kind there is since it will mostly be me and maybe one other person fishing in it. Can you throw regular lures out with a fly rod? I thought I heard that the lure cant be too heavy. And Im just wondering, how do you reel in a fly rod. I see on TV they pull the line but there is a reel on it.
