  1. Well biteme clear water is kinda a totally different type of bass fishing.Especially if your fishing shallow water. You want to try to make longer casts to avoid spooking them. But to go with what Marty said, cruising bass are very stubborn to most lures because most of them are on a mission and dont feel like stopping or chasing anything to quickly. However if you wear sunglasses (make sure their polorized)you will be able to sight fish alot better and maybe even catch some of those cruisers!
  2. Yup shady spots are usually the best places because fish relate to it as cover. If you take a white tub and put a few bass in it they will be all over it however if you place a board over one section of the tub to cause a shadow you will find the bass will converge in that shady spot.
  3. Well here they are.Its the best I could do with the lake I went to lol
  4. Well Ive never caught a rod but here is a funny story real quick.. A club member was fishing one of our tourneys and I watched him yank his rod back and say I got a big one.So as his rod is almost in half and hes steady reeling, hes just about at the boat when out of the water comes a 40oz beer can.Needless to say we attached it to a board and gave it to him as a trophy to hang up on his wall.. LOL
  5. Welcome bronco! This is the best place to be if you just getting back into bass fishing. We are ALL BASS..ALL THE TIME!! sorry just thought that would be funny to say.(Ill try to refrain from stupid statements in the future)LMAO
  6. Nice Job man!!! A little FYI......bright colors in murky water and darker colors in clear water work well.. And anyone who fishes rivers or moving water try using a chartruese colored shallow diving crank...will be worth it trust me:)
  7. Good Idea but just take this into consideration... No matter how many tapes or dvd's you watch they all come down to the same thing...PRESENTATION! Any lure or bait that you try or buy the key to success is going to be how you present it. example.....I tie a plastic worm on my hook and throw it out...nothing! Now I take that same worm and cast it out ....wait for a sec and shake the rod tip then let it sink some and ....BAM! FISH ON!!! understand what im trying to say here? Hope this helps ya out a little
