  1. I have a 2007 basscat pantera 4 with a 200 merc on the back and it will go 65 with a tournement load. With just me by myself I got it up to 71.3 gps. If you are looking for a 19 footer with a 200 you can't beat a Basscat Pantera 4, great rough water ride, enough storage to hold a tackle shop, not to mention they just won the J.D. Power award in highest customer satisfaction for fiberglass boats for the fourth year in a row.
  2. My goal for next year is a largemouth bigger than 10.1lbs(my pb). I would also like to stick a 5lb smallie. For a lifetime goal I want to get a 13+ largemouth. Good luck to everyone on their new year goals.
  3. Have you thought about a basscat. They have a transferable lifetime structural warranty. They are great boats. You can get a farely new boat for around $17,000-20,000 if you shop around. Check out impactfishing.com they have a whole bunch of used Basscat boats for sale. Good luck with your search.
  4. My favorite squarebilled crankbait is a luckycraft BDS 4. I like it because it has nice a wide wobble for warmer water and enough weight to cast it far. I also like the rapala dt flat series for a tighter wobbling crank in colder water conditions.
  5. I go up there a lot almost once a week if I can. Where do you launch out of?
  6. I would have to agree with Chad. I love my sol. It's smooth and dependable.

  10. Nice fish!!! Keep um' comin man. By the way I was out there last week and I was gettin follows everywhere throwin the big bait.
  11. This summer my average has been around 3 lbs. But its usually around 2-2.5 lbs.
  12. Congrats man your going to have a great time in it.
  13. What kind of places are you looking to go with it?
  14. I'm pretty sure your're letting the fish eat the bait for too long. Gut hooking happens a lot with heavily salted baits such as senkos and robos. What I would recomend to do is that once you feel the bite reel down, pick up the slack line, and then set the hook. That method will almost always let the fish eat the bait long enough to get a good hook in them. Another reason people gut hook fish is that the fish are just very aggresive and swallow the bait as soon as they eat it. This is not the anglers fault. He just had no chance to set the hook without gut hooking the fish.

Yesterday I got to fish the CA delta with my dad for the final day this summer before going back to school. :'( Oh well. Anyway we started the day at around 6:00 throwin frogs in open water and I got a nice four pounder and one at 2.5lbs. After the sun came up we started to fish swimbaits. I was fishing an osprey and my dad was fishing a 9in. slammer. He got one that weighed 4-14 and I got one bump but no hookup. Since that wasn't working very well I decided to bring out the dropshot to go for some big fish. :-/ : After a couple small fish I get a nice 4.5lb and then the follow cast I hook into a nice fish that runs staight for the tules but I manage to muscle her(with 10lb cuda line) into open water to land her. She weighed 6 even. After that we decided to make a move but on the way we get flaged down by a couple who were having engine troubles. So we pull over and give them a tow. We had to tow them for around an hour and a half but we got them back to were they lanched safely. After that I feel great not only because we helped those people but also because about 5 minutes later I stick a 5-02 on a luckycraft bds3. Awesome. We ended the day with a couple 3lbers on senkos. Man what a way to end an awesome summer. Heres a picture of the 6-00 And heres a picture of the 5-02

Last week I got to go fishing for a couple days at an awesome night fishing lake. During the day the heat was unberrible so I only fished little bit but I did get a couple nice ones including these. The first one weighed 5-12 and bit a trick worm on a shakey head and the other one was 6-10 which bit a 7" mission fish. I caught this last fish at around 11:30pm. She ate a black jig with a twimtail grub as a trailer.
  25. Either the 3:16 mission fish or their mighty minnow is good as well.
