  1. When did it snap? Fighting the fish? Lifting the fish out of the water? But it does suck when this happens....
  2. Just tried this on my casting setup. I'm using 17lb - .011, equivalent to 30lb PP braid in diameter. So far so good. No backlashes at all. Has good casting distance. I used reel magic on the line the night before. The only downside is the price. 10.00 more a spool for 300yds.
  3. Another vote for Uni. Double pass through..
  4. Yep, they're little fatties for sure.
  5. Are they bending while fighting fish? What kind of fish are you fighting? I'm about the same size as you and I have a couple of Daiwas and never bent a handle.
  6. What about wind knots, if you use it on a spinning? Or have you?
  7. I have both. I can't tell any difference while using either of them. They both feel natural in my hands.
  8. 3 More today. 5 all together. Whopper plopper 90 and a skirtless buzzbait.
  9. You already commented on a review regarding Ultra 8?

  11. What is your budget? I heard the Berkley Lightning Rod Shock is a decent rod.
  12. Thanks. It actually was a good day fishing. I've been catching dinks this who summer until yesterday.
  13. Caught 3 today. The largest was around 4lbs. All 3 on a buzzbait. Lost 3 on frogs, still trying to get that technique down. I had another 4lber break off at the bank. ? was using a large white fluke... but overall a good day.
  14. 20lb is fine. I use 25lb Gliss on my spinning.
  15. My Daiwa' braking is better than the DC that I owned...
  16. I've never had any problems using a piece of black electrical tape as my backing. That's what I would use.
  17. If nothing comes in the next couple of days, i would suggest you post the user name so nobody else will buy from this guy.
  18. Always use backing with braid. I use a small piece of electrical tape also, as others have mentioned..
  19. 30 or 40lb PP Braid or 12lb YoZui Hybrid...
  20. For me, for the money you'd be spending, the Daiwa. The Steez weighs 5.6 oz while the Shimano weighs 7.05 oz. And I prefer the braking on the Daiwas over the Shimano DC's. But both are great reels, can't go wrong with either.
  21. Def a wind knot. I was getting a lot of them a few weeks ago in the wind on the delta.
  22. Check this out. Part#6 and look at the pdf above the parts list, it looks like what you're searching for. IDK if this is any help. http://www.plat.co.jp/shop/catalog/partsorder/language/en/products_id/166/
