What's your current Striper setup? Right now I'm using a Lews Super Duty Wide on a Ugly Stik Lite 7' MH rod. I have PP 40lb braid running to a mono leader. The Stripers are starting to run on the Montezuma Slough in Suisun Bay.

I talked to Pflueger again, to order a new handle knob, but I had to buy the whole handle. She said the schematics doesn't show the knob coming off.

I tried everything to get it apart. There are two bearings underneath, that's what I wanted to oil. But that cover never came off. Let's just say, i have to order a new knob.

Is the cover on the knob supposed to screw off, so you can oil the shaft?

Yes, it does help a lot, in my case anyways...

The TWing isn't for casting further, but it makes casting lighter lures easier. It's a wider opening, so there is less resistance when casting.

I agree. I use Yamalube blue grease and Cals grease as well as HH Alchemy oil. Works well for me.

What line do you use on your BFS reels? I'm using Gliss 24lb which has a .007 diameter. I want to get the most line as possible on my new CALCUTTA CONQUEST BFS without compromising strength. It seems to have the same spool as the Shimano ALDEBARAN BFS. Right now I can empty my spool quite easily.

I think they all work pretty well. Just don't over lube with the oil and grease, tends to slow down the reel.
