  1. I'm sorta odd. I'm right handed when it comes to writing, eating, but play sports left handed. I can reel either hand, but I prefer left hand retrieve.
  2. That's actually good to know, thanks. I wanted to buy the Met MGL, but hesitated because of the gears. I prefer the brass, even if it adds a little more weight.
  3. I've heard the met has aluminum gears. the bantam has brass.
  4. Just bought some 8lb. Will be trying it this weekend.
  5. Another vote for JapanLure. I've order about 5 reels from them now. Always comes with a nice lure also.
  6. Thanks. I wasn't sure. I see a lot of people using the Tranx or Conquest for this. I guess mainly for how much line they hold.
  7. Will using my Daiwa SV103 for swim baits be ok? If so, how heavy of a swim bait do you think I could throw with this?
  8. I haven't had any problems, so far, with fraying.
  9. Gliss by far. I use the 40lb on my casting reels.
  10. Congrats! That's a nice fish!
  11. Thanks everyone. I ended up buying the TW ones.
  12. Hello, I have a 19' Antares 70 and Bantam MGL, both left handed. I'm looking for nice reel covers for them, for when they are mounted on rods. Any suggestions?
  13. Let us know how this works for you.
  14. I use the Concept C for catfish, striper and bass. It works great.
  15. Bantam MGL is another good choice. Or the Daiwa SV103.
  16. Return it for a new one. No need to buy parts for a new reel that's not working right.
  17. Shimano Baitrunners work well.
  18. Not just that, 4-man row boats close the banks also.
  19. Caught a couple...
  20. What handle is that and what size?
  21. Yes, JapanLureshop has them.
  22. Corn and punchbait..
  23. Just using lures. Fishing for Chinook that come up through walnut grove in ca, from the bank. I'll be using these. My friend that I'm going with suggested these also.
  24. Just as the title says. I need a decent Salmon rod. Going to be fishing from the bank. IDK exactly what weight, probably up to 1oz. lure weight. It doesn't have to be 8'6", can be a bit shorter.
  25. I understand now. Probably the benefits would be not having to change hands.
