  1. Another option would be buying components and assembling them yourself from Barlow's, Jann's, Lurepartsonline etc. Minimal investment and you can tweak any way you like.
  2. I was out on Wed nite with the kayak. Had a dozen smallmouth, a walleye, rock bass, and a bluegill on cranks and bladebaits and 2 on a ned rig.
  3. I don't know how they paint chrome commercially but it isn't easy to do it yourself with spray paint. When you clearcoat it it becomes cloudy/dull.
  4. The outside of a loaf of bread is called the crust. The inside is called crumbs. Just thought you kneaded to know.
  5. Yes, I've used PLA, ABS, and nylon. ABS is a pain to work with IMO. Nylon wasn't too bad but it's more expensive and still not as easy as PLA.
  6. What material are you using for the crankbaits? I'm working on some as well but not sure if I should use ABS over PLA.
  7. I have a Helix 9 on my Native Titan 10.5. I like it because it's got the Mega SI.

I just use what looks good. There are some pretty cool patterns out there.
  9. Do you use weight or bobber? Or just freeline it?
  10. The lake I'll be fishing this weekend doesn't have shad, but lots of bluegill. How do you fish with bluegill? Thanks
  11. I'm looking for some advice on how to catch these species, preferably with the same bait and location. I fish in natural lakes where there are lots of carp and channel cats. I'm thinking corn or hot dogs would catch both? Also, where do you start looking for channel cats in lakes? Dropoffs, flats, points??
  12. Haven't fished as much this year but size is definitely lacking in northern Indiana. Have also had a few days where I struggled to get a few.
  13. makewoodenlures.com has a lot of tips for wooden luremaking including what hardeners to use.
  14. Yeah probably. I wasnt very experienced with baitcasters yet.
  15. Kastking Assassin with a shallow spool. I think i got mine off Alibaba or something similar. I have it on a glass cranking rod for small crankbaits. Haven't used it a whole lot but seems to be ok.
