LOL, no they don't. I can get a Bantam Cheaper on JapanLure, than a SV103 on The Tackle Trap...

The Bantam MGL is very hard to beat. Such a great reel. Solid, casts smooth for a very good price.

I have/had both. I owned a Daiwa Steez, atm I own a Daiwa SV103. I have 2 Shimano's now, with the MGL spool. I've always liked the magnetic brake system. But the new MGL spools on the Shimano's are outstanding. I actually prefer my Shimano's over the Daiwa's. I'm not saying Daiwa is bad, they make terrific reels. But ultimately, you have to decide for yourself by using them.

I have an 19' Antares, Bantam MGL, Daiwa SV103. I use my Antares more than any.

Back in 2002 I believe. I bought a Abu Garcia Ambassadeur EON.

This is one technique that eludes me. I need to practice this.

Do you still have the insert? I know this sounds crazy, but the same thing happened to my Okuma EVX, and I just JB welded it back in. I haven't had any problems, it's been almost 2 years now.

3rd for Cals Grease on the gears. It smoothed out my Antares quite a bit.

Not really. It was pretty windy today where I live and I didn't have any problems tying this knot.

I use this knot for everything, mono or braid..

I have mine already. My 19' Antares. Best reel that I've owned.

Nothing wrong I agree. Even when I'm fishing on someones property, I pick up discarded fishing line that I find on the ground from someone else.
