I like the "shorter" rods. I have one 6'8" and two 7'1". When I fish from the bank, it's good for around trees and such tight places.

I was able to pick up 1 brand new a few weeks ago. Great reel.

Powell makes a really light rod. They have a Powell Endurance 7'3" heavy for 150 on TW.

Since I've became proficient tying the fg knot, I've been using 30lb braid to 12lb yo zuri leader..

Went fishing yesterday. I was only out there a couple of hours. But a nice day for fishing.

I don't see how anyone could get so mad to throw your stuff like that. My setups are too expensive to do that.. I've never lost a setup by dropping it, thank God. Lost a lot of lures though..

My Antares A is significantly quieter than my Steez when casting. Just saying.

I've used electrical tape, but also tied to the spool with a uni..

Power Pro Super8Slick V2 is probably the smoothest out there besides Gliss, but Gliss frays way too easy and fades quickly also..

I don't have the Vanford, but I do have a Pfluger mounted on a 7'M Zodias and it's an excellent rod for neds and such.

For me the Bantam.
