I'm left handed, so all of my reels are lh. I can do rh no problem, just prefer lh, it comes more natural to me. But I'm also ambidextrous. I write and eat with my right and play sports with my left lol.

Depends on what lure that I'm using. If I don't catch lmb, it's either a striper or crappie.

Good to know about that Loon Glue. I've always used a small dab of super glue to keep that fray down on the knot.

I'd go with the 100. No need for the deeper spool for jerkbaits and small crankbaits. It should cast those lighter lures better also.

Like some said, I'll just have to try it out. I know it's on the heavier side, we'll see.

On all of my rods I use braid to fluorocarbon with a fg knot.

My new medium swimbait setup Daiwa SV103HL. Swapped out the stock spool for a Steez A G1 spool. 50lb Berkley X9 braid to Yo-Zuri 20lb T7 flouro, and put a 100mm gomexus handle. I have it mounted on a Phenix feather 7'3"XH rod. Can't wait to try it out.

I have a Expride 6'8" MH rod. 3/8 - 1oz. Would this be okay to use for a jerk bait rod? I don't fish from a boat, only from the bank, so I figured 6'8" for the downward twitching would be good.

Yes, where I fish at, the carp have become really thick the last 2 years. During the summer months, they destroy all the vegetation while they're spawning. I've seen balls of them just tearing up everything.

That's what I was thinking too. Was he talking about the old SV103 or the Tat SV103.

Very strong. I've had it on casting, but likes to dig. Using it on spinning setups eliminates wind knots all together.
