My 10 year old son uses an Abu Garcia pro max and loves it. He's caught a ton of fish on it this summer and has never had a problem with it.

Cabelas tournament zx rods are on sale for $70 all the time. Great rods.

I have a 6 10 M glass rod for shallow cranking and jerkbaits. By far my favorite rod. I was lucky to pick it up for $200.

I throw all Keitech's. The impact fat and easy shiners are killer when I'm out. I've heard the new Jackall and Strike King swim baits were pretty good. I'll have to give them a try and compare them to Keitech's.

In my experience nothing beats the action of a Yamamoto senko for stick baits. That being said, they are expensive compared to other brands. If you have the money to spend feel free to buy all the Yamamoto senkos. I find the bass pro shop senkos to be pretty good. I recently got a 50 pack for $10.

Backpack. I use an Oakley Kitchen Sink bag and man can that fit a ton of stuff in it.

I don't have just 1 favorite so here are the ones I throw the most. Livetarget size 65, spro bronzeye and snag proof ish's poppin fatty. I wanted to love the lunker hunt frog but it's legs tear so easily. Only threw it less than 2 days and the legs almost ripped off.

Tourney ZX are on sale for $70 right now. I have the 7'3" heavy frog rod and I love it. Had it for 2 years and never had a problem with it. A few of my friends have ZX rods and they all like them too. I love the grip on them too.

I use a 7" m shimano zodiac with a ci4+ stradic and 10 lb Tatsu. I also rig the 4.8 on a 1/8 oz weighted screw lock size 4

New to fishing and was just wondering if you guys use braid or fluorocarbon for your line. What strength line are you guys using? Thanks
