How Do You Know???
I change baits hardly ever. I fish a worm matching the provided covers color. If the lake is clear but kind of greenish, I use a greenish worm. etc.

BANK BEATERS / Takin' a Beatin'
Approaching someone in a NICE tone is key. Plus all the other above posts. You better believe I would say something, since I am paying $, but it would be said very nice, firm, and not toned.

how do you know when bass are spawning?
When you can't catch them.

So R.W., did you fish it this weekend?

Best of luck.

Which would they hit first?
They are lazy "hunters" in search for an EASY and quick meal.....crawfish all the way.

The Secret Pond
Since no one fishes this new honey hole, I honestly would fish a 6 or 7" senko. I wouldn't want to spook the fish with a buzzbait, or a spinnerbait (hitting the water that is). Plus with those overflow areas, a senko is perfect for those lurkers. You could also throw a jerkshad (plastic) but how is the water clarity?

The Secret Pond
How does that place sound you ask? Sounds like heaven!!! Fish those senkos and pull a hawg out to show us ;D

Pumphouses
I had some good luck today. The only thing that sucks about this pumphouse, is A) I am not sure if it's taking water out to run electricity, or if it's pumping water below the surface back in. I wouldn't think B since that wouldn't make to much sense to me. I also noticed turtles flocking to the pumphouse and I had tons of them mess with my trick stick.

Pumphouses
I thought so too I will be checking it out shortly tonight...still at work!!%@%@# lol

Pumphouses
Do bass hang around the pumhouses concrete base? I have heard they like pumphouses, and the lake I go to often, has a pumphouse in the water. It's kind of hard for me to fish it from the shore, but do you think it would honestly be worth me checking out, or just stick to my cove I go to with alot of mil-foil off the bank?

Bass Resource U
I thought possibly a jig too, but I didn't want to spook the feeding.
-
Bass Resource U
I tried zoom flukes (or jerk shads as I call them) I have some slug-gos in the truest form...didn't try those.
-
Bass Resource U
Tried buzzbait. Spinnerbait I guess I should have tried, but I was thinking rat-l trap maybe? Also I need to add this feeding period only lasted about 1 1/2 hours.

Ok the scenerio: Two days before you're wanting to go fishing it rained A LOT. The lake now is up, the sun is shining, and the fish are running all over the place shallow. (You can actually see the v's in the water from them swimming) You use TONS of minnows being chased on the top of the water, and a lot of activity from the chasers. The milfoil is giving the bass great cover. You try worms and catch a couple, but what do you try now to catch these huge bass feeding? ....

Fishin' in the Rain
Rain has always brought me the best fishing. I use worms or flukes.

Greatest Angler Debate travesty!!!
I watched it this weekend too. I think Larry Nixon should be #1. Opinions, everyone has one.

Is it best to go bass fishing early or noon?
I start early and come home late in the evening. I fish all day

Prayers Needed
Sorry to read that. Prayers sent.

The Secret Pond
Those type of waters are always VERY nice to find. I found one the other day like that, but it's a dinky pond. I was walking up to ask this guy fishing it, if he had caught anything, and he was holding in his hand about a 4.5 lber.

Cranking Up Big Bass by J.T. Bagwell
I agree good article. I have some places where I would be afraid to throw a crankbait, but with a floater, who knows...

bit by the bug
Welcome man. If I could offer only piece of advice it would be PATIENCE!!! Somedays we all catch notta, or only a few the whole day. If you easily loose patience, fishing is not for you.

Big Bass
Yeah I fish 96% of the whole day with worms, and have been using worms for a decade. I just thought I would try out some jigs, some new cajun line, and these "tricks" I read from *** and here on how to get the jig more 'ready' for setting up. I could feel the fish pulling on my jig all day yesterday, but never could hook up with them. Slower is the first and foremost thing I will do starting tomorrow morning!
