Need more bad sportsmanship and rod smashing on the side of the boat. This is what draws the viewers and pumps the ratings! "skeet reese"

I didnt do any good at the cribs, shades or the w's during the 3 days i tried it June 2016. Did pretty good in PIB and thompson bay tho. Wasnt worth the trip from NC in my opinion. I am going back this year, but plan to try the Central Basin Ohio this year.

Crappie bite was very strong. I never even attempted to catch a bass. Did not hear much good about the bass bite all weekend .

Thats cool. I am staying at LTL til monday. I will have my Lowe 1860 Tunnel Jet crappie boat with me this time. Leaving bass boat at home. Center console camo. Im guessing it will be prime bass weather too! I will have a couple rods in the boat in case i stumble on a nice one to sight fish! Good luck on the 17th!

Shearon Harris Help
I will be fishing Hartwell and some of the other SC lakes for crappie next month as well. I would suggest starting in the Martins Creek area of the Seneca river arm. this is a stained water section that always holds crappie in the spring. Its a big creek. Try pushing jigs at .8 mph with minnows in about 20-25' feet of water. Keep searching various depths until you find them. Good luck! Sorry it took me so long to see your reply.

What guide service did you use down there? I assume you did anyway. Did you take mostly your own tackle or did they provide it? Besides your rods and reels I mean. They pick you up at the airport? Looks like a great trip!

Lake Lanier, GA
Anyone out after the spots lately? How is the fishing north of Browns bridge? Im going to be down from Saturday to Saturday this weekend. Staying in the upper lake area in a rental house. Was hoping to not have to trailer to the lower lake to get in on some schooling fish action.

What lures to use at Douglas lake?
Look for schooling fish early, up in the creeks also. have a topwater ready. Spook , sammy, pencil popper ..etc. Carolina rig will work on the ledges if you arent a deep cranker. Also, keitech swimbaits on a 1/4oz jighead will work for smallmouth as well.

Hartwell?
Hartwell just gets pounded these days! Tons of tournaments, local fisherman, pleasure boaters, the place is a mad house. Used to be my favorite lake, as i grew up fishing it. I rarely go near the place now though. Publicity is hard on lakes these days.

Lake Murray SC
Had a tough weekend fishing Murray the last couple of days. With the nice weather, i was stoked for some topwater action down there. Unfortunately , it didnt happen for me this time. Hit the mid lake area, going from point to point, throwing topwater and swimbaits with very little to show for it either day. Couple of nice fish, but very few bites overall. Seems the fishers of men tx had great results. Many teams over double digits and 7-8 over 17lbs. So it seems the were biting somewhere. Anyone else care to share their results? I just was amazed it was that tough to get on fish this time.

Heaviest bass of the board
That looks like a 10lb splash it to me! Largest lures get the largest fish!

Heaviest bass of the board

Heaviest bass of the board
Thought i would revive this old thread. Here is a 3.88 lake hartwell spotted bass from a couple years back. I have several over 4 and one 5.02 from Lanier and Keowee. I just cant find any pics of those to post. Going to Burton next weekend. Goal is to catch another 5lber!
