  1. Were there 10 of you fishing? lol. I left a couple days before that last year. Had a couple 30 fish days, but nothing like what you are saying.
  2. Do you go to the PA section of Erie or the Ohio section? I went to the PA area last june and it was just an "ok" trip. Going again June 10-17 this year. Hoping to finally unlock a secret or two to catch some 4-5lbers. Only 2-3lb fish last years trip.
  3. Fished most of the day monday with a buddy on the river out of my jet. Caught close to 30 up to 3lbs and lost several other nice ones. Mostly all smallies but a few green fish in the mix. Caught them on Ned rig, 1/8 jig and jerkbaits. Great day for the river!
  4. Leaving from NC next sat the 11th. Its all i can think about while im at work. lol Good luck to all of yall fishing. I managed to catch close to 30 smallies in a river in E. Tennessee on Monday. Up to 3lbs. The bite was on most all day. Really hoping to catch a 5 plus at Erie! That opportunity doesn't exist in the south for smallies.
  5. I spent a week up there mid june in 2014. It is an awesome lake. The Southern part is stained water and mostly largeheads. Lots of lily pads and typical bassy looking habitat. At that time, all the fish were done spawning and there were a bunch of people fishing. Even during the week. It was a tough day down south the one time i tried it down there. I rented a house in the middle section of the lake. The mid section is not very good for bass. Extremely deep bluff banks and clear water. We did catch a few bass, but no numbers. Spent two full days in this area. NOW, on to Plattsburg!! Last 3 days of the trip were in this area. It was AWESOME! Fishing was on fire! 40 plus fish every day. Most were on jighead/grub combo and drop shot. I concentrated on 30-35' humps all around the Plattsburg area. Every spot had lots of fish and were very active. Tried topwater but it just wasnt on yet. Water temp was only mid 60s by then. Did not see any bedding fish so i assume most were done. Wish i wouldve been in that area the whole week. You should have a great trip!
  6. I have big plans to destroy some lips come June 11!
  7. That would be great! Yes, its my first trip to Erie. Drove up to Champlain in 2014 around the same time frame. Great trip, but it appears Erie will be much better. And half the distance from NC! Ill be staying a few miles from PIB marina.
  8. By the bay, you mean Presque Isle Bay? I will be there for a week mid June when the kids get out of school. Rented a house near PIB and towing my boat up from NC.
  9. True enough. However, on a boat policy it is very minimal. Not like points on a car insurance policy. If my boat is destroyed, any premium increase due to a total loss payout is gladly taken in stride by me.
  10. I would say his insurance repaired the boat. So maybe a 500.00 deductible . Progressive does full boat replacement as well. So , not much risk in the way of losing money on the boat itself. Life and limb is obviously a bigger risk.
  11. Pink fluke is probably one of my favorite smallmouth baits.
