  1. NO THANKS! I know a guy who does that stuff. He reached into a hole filled with old rusty barbed wire (lets just say, the pic's were not that pretty). He's lost 3 fingers due to snapping turtles, and has been bit a lot of times by snakes.

Yeah he is a great writer. On another note, his TV show is great too.

  10. Yeah it was pretty bad here in Missouri. Even up here in the St. Louis area. Countless fields were flooded, subdivision lakes were flooded. Crazy stuff.

  13. The guy's a beast.

  17. WOW! Awesome stuff. I casted one a few times at BPS and I fell in love.........ok maybe it was a few hundred times.
  18. Why would you cut it? Just feel the belly. If the belly is squishy, they probably ate a soft grade fish, like a minnow or a shad. When it feels crunchy, they've most likely gulped crawfish and are havinging trouble digesting the shell. And if you sense an object turning end over end, say hello to the spine of a blue gill. I got that straight from Mike Iaconelli's book.
  19. I never knew there were crawdads in a small lake that I fish a lot until about a year ago. I cought a fish and when I lifted him in the boat, and a crawdad fell out of his mouth.
  20. I always carry a few Jolley Ranchers in my pocket.
  21. From what I have observed, a swimbait.
  22. At night, the best (in my opinion) is a black/blue single colorado blade. I have most success if the blade is really big.
  23. I usually start throwing them when the water gets around 55 degrees.
