  1. Mine was when I was night fishing on Lake of the Ozarks this past summer. I hooked into a nice one, we (my cousin and I) got several looks at her/him...the battle went on for about 3 min. and we saw it about 10 times (cousin had a big spot light)....all of a sudden it stopped swimming.....actually he/she got me wrapped around a dock cable and got free. This was the biggest bass I've ever seen/had on. Probably being 11-13 pounds. Another unique story I have: I was trout fishing, and the stream I was fishing in only allowed flies. Well I had been seeing bass all over, and I broke the rules and put a big crankbait on. I just twitched it on top of the water..........then all of a sudden a bass that was a little over 8 pounds came up and slooooooowwly nudged it with it's nose. It went on and sllloooooowwwlllly grabed it....I tried sooo hard, and succeeded in not setting the hook... I knew if I did, it would have caused a lot of camotin, and there were rangers all over the place.... good thrill tho.
  2. Thats what we are all here for
  3. Yeah, I'm not really one for tattoos, but if I absolutely had to get one, I would get a pic. of a bass jumping out of the water. Like Mike Iaconelli's.
  4. Horny Toads are topwater baits. Try rigging them texas style with the special made horny toad hook or a Tru-Tungsten Greg Hackney's Hack Attack Frog Hook. Both are really good.
  5. Wow! Those are amazing.
  6. I will sometimes use these on a shakey head.
  7. Huh? :-? I share your confusion Burley. Jigs are one of the best if not THE best bed fishing lure. It did take the largest bass ever caught, even if it was foul hooked. I suppose your talking about Weakly's 25 pounder? I'm pretty sure that was with a swimbait....or was i mis-informed.
  8. lol! you can barley get your fingernail in that fish's mouth!
  9. actually mine arnt too bad at all for being just randomly picked! 12th 138 178 50 54 1 8 58 60 16 I noticed that almost everyone picked jay yelas & Luke Clausen
  10. I will have to agree and say that Pre-spawn is where you get the best hits...But I would have to say fishing the spawn is my favorite. I love sight fishing!
  11. Yeah I really like those too.
  12. Great fish! Still got ice here.
  13. It seems like that....i bought the december issue in a store about a week ago... usually, magazines are a month ahead.. No. They took like a year break. I dont know what was up.
  14. LOL. I was normal before I started reading this, but now I think I've gone crazy.... Some of mine: 1) Always check the livewell during tournaments...ALWAYS! 2) When I'm fun-fishing, I always have some hard core metal playing in the truck...but when I'm driving to the boat ramp on tournament day...DEAD SILENT...I dont know why, but it really gets me in the zone. 3) Always wear a hat...I have a "lucky hat" ( my white Arkansas Razorback) that I always have to have with me. Even when I'm fishing a tourney, I have to at least put it on for 5 min. for some luck to rub off.
  15. I really like Bassin, but they suck at getting their issues out... I subscribed in DEC. of 2006 and I got 2 issues...then all of a sudden it stopped. Now just recently, I've just started getting them again. I don't know what the problem is. Bass Times is great too.
  16. Live_2_fish: thats pretty neat...I may have to do that some day when I'm bored.
  17. Man I can't even imagine what I would do.
  18. 15-20 pound Yo-Zuri Hybrid... Sometimes I'll switch over to braid, but not often.
