  2. looks good guys!
  3. hey do you know where i can get a cheap air brush?
  4. I was curious if anyone passes up places like Bass Pro or Cabelas, and goes to the small bait shops hoping to find a good bargin, or a few cool lures. Well I went yesterday, and saw some great stuff. I got some money minnows: This sweet rattletrap: And I got 2 brand new curados for a great price. I also saw some sweet jap. lures. One was like a crazy crawer, only it looked. It looked sweet, and I really wanted it, but i just didnt have the money.
  5. This past year, I have done great night fishing. I placed 2nd in one of my night tourneys. Overall I have done great with a blk/blu Colorado spinnerbait (big blade) throwing parallel to the bank. Most of those spinnerbait fish come when fishing chunk rock banks. I have also come to find that blk/blu chatterbaits work well near boat docks at night. In fact this past july on Lake of the Ozarks, I lost an 10+ pounder (my buddy had a flash light, and we got a couple real good looks at it) on the chatterbait. But the lure that constantly produced for me is a berkley power craw (3" black w/ chart. pinchers) on a shakey head. When fishing the shakeyhead, I ALWAYS cought fish on "nothing" banks, when my boat was in 17' of water and about 30 feet from the shore. This rig actually helped me place 2nd in my tourney this year....Another that should never be forgotten is a Black Grape power worm. I just swim it by brush piles...I have a few night tourneys (7pm-7am) this year, and I hope to do as good if not better then what I did this past year.
  6. Thats amazing! Rattle traps are one of my go-to baits...i actually cought my pb on one.....I really dont have a lure that does not catch me fish...but i guess the jerkbait is the one i catch the least on.
  7. Thanks for all the info. Now are all of the ponds usually stocked?
  8. Well for 08, I want to catch a 7+ LM...It would be awesome if I cought it on my fav. lake, b/c it would be the record...it would be 2X better if i cought it in a tourney...Would also like to catch another 3+ SM and set the record for the same lake. Life Time: any double digit bass
  9. Ok, I have a few qustions about golf course ponds. Where I live, their is no shortage of golf courses and they all have ponds. I always hear about people fishing golf course ponds, but how do you know which ones are stocked with bass? Why are they stocked? And who do you contact to obtain permission to fish these ponds?
  10. Thanks Needemp...I may be going their soon, so I'll give it a try
  11. lol yeah i saw the teeth before i did it, and thought i could be the tough guy and do it anyways...lol....yeah we didnt even get a bite (except for that little one) at 35...just @ the little pond above it.
  12. my all time fav. is a 3" zoom meathead (pumpkin)
  13. nope, never used it, but i'm going to give it a try
  14. Today me, some buddies, and my dad went fishing at Busch Wildlife. Well we finally started fishing at about 8:30, b/c every lake we went to had ice on it...we fished till about 1:30...And all we cought is one fish. It was so hard fishing b/c on just about every lake, the wind was blowing a constant 25-30 mph, so hard it was making us walk sideways...The 1 fish we cought was in the little pond above 35, and was on a slow rolled spinnerbait. We went to 35, and man that lake is DOWN!!! and the wind had even picked up more...With the wind, i couldnt fish a jig effectivly, so i was fishing a jerk bait and crank bait...I had a small one on a x-rap, but nothing else...but on the dam on 35, their was so many dead fish...a huge dead muskie (which cut my thumb on pretty bad b/c we got a pic of it and claimed that we cought it lol.) and a ton of bluegill & shad.....but like i said, the wind was brutal. Here is me holding that muskie like a dummy, and my cousin actin like an idiot in the background...lol...even though the fishing was terrible, we still had fun as you can see.

  20. Thanks J...We might hit up #35. That cover might be a nice spot for these winter bass...Would you reccomend it for this time of year? I was actually planning on fishing the catch and release lake...but i'm not sure yet. Thanks for the comment on my website...It was VERY simple...I actually have to update it.
