What would be a good worm (texas rig) rod around the 100-115$ range?

I have a problem, I have a Shimano Citica on a 7' crankbait rod, my problem is, that it is nearly impossible to actually cast soft plastics. I have loosen the brrake as loose as it can, just right, tight, etc. and it cant cast them out. Do I neeed a dif. reel, or a diff rod?

Hey all! All right by now you are thinking "when does this kid stop?" well, the deal on the energy didnt work out. I have now narrowed it down to 2 reels. I need your help. I am either going to buy the Quantum Accurist PT, or the Abu Garcia Revo SX. My question is, which one? I will mainly be using texas rigs. Thanks for aaaaaaaallllllllll the help, Craig

now is the revo good for casting light lures (plastic's)?

I have tried them all, (bass pro reel on part of rod) but I was just wondering which you guys like. The STX is amazing, the only downer is that its small, but I guess that means i have more controll on it.
