Looking For New Workhorse Baitcaster
Hey guys thanks for all the input! Really appreciate it since you can't test durability over time in a store! After listening to your suggestions and spending an hour at Cabela's trying them all out today (for which I got several weird looks) I chose the Lew's BB1HZ! Last one in stock too! Thanks again guys!

So Let's Hear It! What For Christmas??
Didn't really get anything fishing related accept a Bear Grylls Gerber Multi-Tool. Waking up at the crack of dawn tomorrow though to go out to Cabelas with my christmas cash and pick up a new reel hopefully on sale! Also ordered Notes on Fishing and Life by Shaw Grigsby. Lost my old copy and need a new one! Merry christmas all!

All Ohio Fishing
I live in the central ohio area during the summer and winter. East of Columbus and close to buckeye lake! I mostly fish local ponds and streams but would love to be able to get over to buckeye lake or alum creek every once in awhile to try my hand at it!

Looking For New Workhorse Baitcaster
This is my first post here in a long time as I’ve gotten distracted over the years with various things but now that I’m in college I have decided to allow myself one winter hobby and one summer hobby. The winter hobby is skiing and the summer hobby is, well I’ll let you guess that one. Anyway with that decision in mind I am going to be needing a new 6:1 workhorse real. I currently have 2 rods a 6’6” Pinnacle 2 piece medium action for when I want to throw a rod in the car and a 7’ Medium Fast Action Mojo Bass rod. As well as a Quantum REAX 7.3:1 reel. The last workhorse I had was a Shimano Citica that I really enjoyed! If your wandering what type of use the reel will see it’s pretty much going to be my go to reel. I fish from the bank in small ponds and lakes around the central Ohio area. I use everything from worms to hard swimbaits. Here’s the list of things I’m considering! The lower end of my budget is like 100 unless of course there’s something amazing below that and the upper limit is around 160. Input is valued as well as suggestions for alternatives. List: Shimano Citica Abu Garcia Revo SX Shimano Curado Quantum Energy PT Daiwa Tatula Lew's BB1HZ

Asking For A Response From Every Member
1. If a lure isn't working than switch it out. 2. Never be afraid to go back to a bait later in the day. 3. If its been said 100 times it should be said again! Slow Down!

Sevylor Fish Hunter
As much as I would love to get a kayak its a big hassle for one person. Plus I will be putting a trolling motor on this for all of you asking. Im really not looking to spend that much and the sea eagles are... that much. Other ideas on inflatables in my price range would be great! But probably needs to be tm capable.

Sevylor Fish Hunter
Hey guys well im in a bit of a bind. I have Honda Civic, no money, and no boat to use to get into the larger waters around me. However I would like to get out onto some of the larger ponds and smaller lakes. I saw this and thought PERFECT but I want opinions. http://www.amazon.com/Sevylor-Fish-Hunter-Inflatable-Boat/dp/B0015BYN1U/ref=pd_sbs_sg_2 My budget is LOW! 200 dollars is like the max. But any ideas you have would be appreciated! Also if anyone has expierience how are these things with 2 people?

Fluro? Really that much better?
I know that everyone says that Flurocarbon is the superior line to mono due to its strength but is that it? I have mono to spare and would prefer not to pay alot more for line im not sure I need. Is there any other advantages other than strength? All replys greatly accepted!

Swimbait Capable?
But will i have a lot of rod tension? Buckeye outdoors is located in Hebron. Heres a link to the site! They have EVERYTHING a fisherman could need http://www.vanceoutdoors.com/find_a_store.cfm

Swimbait Capable?
Well today I had an epiphany... I have a car and license. So i decided to head out to this local place id never been to called Buckeye Outdoors. Sweet lord i had found heaven but sadly with only 20 dollars in my pocket! So I decided to buy this Sexy Swimmer http://www.basspro.com/Strike-King-Sexy-Swimmer/product/10206744/-1636179 anyway I was wandering if the current combo I have could handle it. My hardbait set up is a 7' MH St. Croix Bass Mojo rod with a Citica 201D. Will this do or did I just throw away 15 dollars?

This reel will top the chart this year...
I agree the reel is ugly and WAY overpriced! Diversionary price? Deffinatly! Compared to Apple products? Not a chance!

Winter Pond Fishing
For an exact location i live between newark and columbus. As for the ponds they are both run off ponds on a golf course about a good 50 to 100 yards from my house. Both stocked with bass and bluegill. However when i got home from school my ponds had indeed frozen over with the incoming snow. However I would still love to hear ideas for when they are NOT frozen.

Winter Pond Fishing
So as winter is upon us i now must switch tactics in order to continue to catch the big ones. Or catch anything for that matter. So my question to you is what baits and presentations work for you while pond fishing in the winter?

Help me with outfits!
Thank you for all the great input!

Help me with outfits!
Okay that works. Which real do you guys think should go on which rod? What baits should I be using with these two combinations? Is there baits these rods cant handle like spinnerbaits or swimbaits?

Help me with outfits!
Okay do you think i should replace the inferno?

Help me with outfits!
As the new year dons so does the dreadful wait for the season to start again. As i am pondering this next plentiful fishing season i am left with a question. What to do with my outfits and what kind of baits should i be putting on each one. My first set up is 7' Med-Hvy Tourney Special Rod with a Quantum Inferno Second 7' Medium Fast Mojo Bass Rod With Shimano Citica 201D not F. What types of baits should i be running on each set up. As their is not much room in my civic i would like to stick with 2 outfits but do have the cash to spare for a new rod/ or a new real should i be missing something crucial. All input is greatly appreciated.

Kayak Gear
Okay so today I decided for my 16th birthday I would ask for a kayak so that I could fish some wider areas. Now after making this decision I realized I would need some more things than just the kayak. What will I need or definately want when I get my kayak. Include licenses, safety gear, and any thing else including fishing gear. Thank you for the help.
