Same reason I think for not wearing a full face mask on a motor cycle. The chances of things hitting you in the face are very slim as that windshield on the front of your console is there to protect you. Not only do some come pretty close to your face but they also force air up and past your face greatly reducing risk of being hit. In terms of collisions I think its the same reason we don't wear helmets in cars. Your screwed either way so why spend the money?

If it is a question of price definitely talk to Ron from Valley Sports! He has them on his website for only 106$ and a 25$ rebate on top of that! For that much I would just buy the Lexa anyway and if you don't like it that much you didn't lose a ton on it!

Does the setup of an inflatable take that much longer than untying and retying of a kayak? Also how hard are they to carry by yourself? I'm approximately 5'9" and 170 pounds.

Yes I have looked into a nice thule set up but keep in mind that will cost me another extra 200+ dollars for the rack and kayak mounting system

So as my first summer as a college student approaches I think I am old enough to start finding my own means of getting off the bank and into the water. Now right now the two options I am looking at are either a SOT kayak or a Sea Eagle 8 Fisherman's Dream package. The car I will be using to transport either will be a 2005 Honda Civic 4 door. Keep in mind that the back seats do fold down to extend the trunk into the car. Would it be easier, and more cost efficient, to get the Sea Eagle? Or would I be fine with the kayak. For the moment a motor isn't going to be needed either as I would probably be rowing myself to get in some physical excercise. Let me know and if you have another alternative feel free to share!

I agree using your phone would help you get a much better quality sonar. There is a lot of free fishing map apps out there. However, I have been to a couple lakes in Tennessee where there is no cell reception on the lake and if that is the case then this may not work for you.

If price is a factor you can get the SX from Ron with Valley Sports for 135 and the Accurist for 112. When I tried out reels at Cabelas last week the Orra was definitely heavier. Really liked the SX as it had a smooth retrieve and a smooth bar push. Haven't tried the accurist but the S I tried was noticeably not as smooth as the S.

Also I would definately say since you don't have much heavy cover to deal with that you should go with the worm/jig rod!

Haha people this is Disney World. The happiest and costliest place on earth! I've been there with my family over 16 times and I'm only 19 years old! Haha my first thought when I read 240 was "that's it?". I agree it's outrageous but the fact of the matter is they could probably charge a lot more and still get away with it. Just my 2 cents. Also I would agree that they probably have some great gear and there's no need to bring your own.

Was tearing it up today on a chartreuse colored weedless jig! Caught 3 bass in 3 casts at my local pond. After fishing for about 30 minutes ended up with a record of 2 1/2 pounders and 2 1 pounders! I wish the weather was like what it was today all week!

Luckily you all have a video geek in your midst! Rockchalk I had the exact same problem with iMovie and my gopro. I have 2 suggestions and both will fix your problem. Firstly for this video what you should do is export the final product back onto your computer in the 720p format. Don't put it to youtube directly from iMovie. Then upload the video you exported to youtube using Youtube's uploader tool on their website. After you get this one figured out you might want to take a look at the gopro video editing software! It will keep you from having these issues later and is pretty user friendly! However the first fix should work every time if you wish to continue using iMovie! Hope this helps!

That is my cutthroat business advice from a business student. That being said it might be better to just go on your way and forget about it. People will be jerks in life but they can only continue to be jerks if you keep letting them get to you! Hope this situation works out for the best!
