That was exactly my first thought when I read the title to this thread. Watch out for double negatives too. Just kidding. Congrats on going back to school.

Any Coffee Lovers?
Coffee black is the only way. I can't stand sugar or creamer in my coffee. That is what I started on. Used to get up bright and early at deer camp and cowboy black coffee was the only option. It doesn't get any better IMO.

5 LB. Bass ...
Kevin Fowler sings Beer, Bait, and Ammo. It doesn't get any better than www.radiofreetexas.org "We ain't real radio, but at least we're not douchebags". That radio station gets me through the day. I log in at 8 and stay logged on until 5, EVERYDAY. All those guys you listed are awesome. I'll add Ryan Bingham (new album coming out, he just signed with Lost Highway), Hayes Carll, Reckless Kelly, Jason Boland, and many others. I am really good friends with the guy who started www.lonestarmusic.com. Chad has introduced me to so many good singer/songwrites and musicians since I met him. Who is your GF (if you don't mind me asking). Just curious If I have heard of her or if she gets any play are RFT.

5 LB. Bass ...
That's been my sig. line since I joined Texas Country Music is the only country music IMO. I listen to that song on the way to the lake everytime I go. I wrought a short diatribe about my thoughts of Country Music today in some thread on here. I won't get started though b/c it is Friday and I am in a good mood. I will not let thoughts of Kenny I have Pec Implants Chesney, Trace Atkins, Big N Rich, or any other of those no talent hacks ruin my Friday. I mean Honkey Tonk Badonkadonk, She thinks my Tractor is Sexy. Can it get any worse?

Your favorite Football jigs / trailers?
I absolutely love football jigs. Nothing feels more comfortable in my hand. Jewel Jigs are my favorites. I also have done very good with Chompers Jigs. Well two chompers jigs. I throw a 1/4 oz and a 3/8 oz Chomper FB Jig with a zoom Ultra vibe chunk. The smaller jig with that trailer falls slower than other combinations I have tried.

There goes the Neighborhood...Moving to Dallas
Does this ever happen?

How do you?
I have always wanted to make some of my own spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, and jigs. There is something to do in the off season that will keep you thinking about fishing.

You guys from Texas
L Train, looks like your avitar needs some remodeling done. Die hard horns fan, and that don't get you much advice. LOL When are we going fishing? Matt. It took me forever to find this old thread. Looks like I going to be a little closer to you Matt (see There Goes the Neighborhood thread). What lakes do you fish? Catt, when are you coming up?

There goes the Neighborhood...Moving to Dallas
I figured I would warn all you Texans, there will be another Hog invading your land in a few weeks. We are moving to Carrollton at the end of August. I know there are several good lakes around the area. I have read a lot about Ray Roberts on this board. And I know BASS has had Elite Series Events at Eagle Mountain Lake, Lake BenBrook, Lake Grapevine, and Lake Lewisville over the past few years. So it looks like I am going to have plenty of opportunity to fish. Ohh.. and Fork is just East of Dallas!!!!! I also plan on joining a Bass Club as soon as I get down there. Am I missing any good lakes? And if anyone knows about the 100 or so bass clubs that appear to be in the area, let me know. I am leaning on Century Bass Club now. It is a BASS Federation Club.

Drop Shot Tips
Ok... I have never fished a drop shot. For the next two months I am going to concentrate on learning the carolina rig (awesome thread above by the way!!!) and the drop shot. i just went to http://bassresource.com/fishing/DropShot_Rig.html and it did a good job of showing me how to rig it. but, If my memory serves me, doesn't Aaron Martens (deadly w/ Drop Shot) tie a different knot? Seems like i remember something on ESPN about his drop shot. Any help will be appreciated. Like I said I have never even tied on.

What Do I Need For College Life?
College... the good ole days. My word of advice. Have a good time and enjoy it b/c it will be over before you know it. Also, I can't stress this enough, GO TO CLASS. I went to a small liberal arts college and lived in the dorm for 2 years. I partied my you know what off for the first two years. I skipped every class at least once a week. After my sophomore year my GPA was below 2.0. I moved in with two other buddies in a house and did not miss one day of class my junior and senior year. my GPA those two years was 3.75. The first two years killed my overall GPA. Professors know who comes to class. they may not act like it matters, but it does. There were at least 4 - 5 times my junior and senior year i had 78% or 88 % in a class. I got the benefit of the doubt b/c i attended class every day and they bumped my grade up to an A or a B. Back to a lighter note. Take advantage of being young and being able to party two nights in a row. Those days are numbered. B/C Hank Jr. said it best, "The hangovers hurt more than they used to".

One word... AMAZING
Playing guitar is my second hobby behind bass fishing and I consider myself a fairly good guitar player. I have been playing for a little over 12 years. That being said, I don't think I could do this if i practiced from the moment I woke up until I went to bed for the rest of my life. Not your typical guitar playing. Hit the link... Thank me later.

Zoom Super Fluke
I fish these in grass, lilly pads, anywhere. But in grass I usually cast it too the back of the cover, and I try to make the fluke look like something is chasing it. Basically it stays almost on the top and comes out of the water quite a bit. When I get to a hole in the grass or the edge, I stop it and let it fall for 5 - 10 seconds. I just learned this about a month ago and it has become my favorite way to work a fluke.

Lake Level Question
ok... so at 260.20 the lake will be exactly 1 ft above normal pool? On the lake I fish I need to know the level to know if I can get to certain places or not. thanks Matt / Captain Obvious 259.35 - 259.20 = .15 got that. That was a knock on me being from Arkansas wasn't it. ;D
-
Lake Level Question
Ok... someone put this in terms of ft. inches, whatever or tell me what this means. Normal pool 259.20 Current conditions 259.35 How high is the lake? I am just trying to learn everything I can about the Lake I fish on. And Water level and current are a very important part of the fish catching equation that I usually just throw out. Thanks
