Line for baitcaster
Need help. I have a new baitcaster coming and after reading some of the comments on here regarding Pline FC I'm now thinking I may need a different line. Any thoughts? Keep in mind that I have never used a baitcaster before. I will be using it for soft plastics, crank baits, buzzbaits, Senkos, and the like. Not sure I want to bother with tying two different lines together like mono to braid but if that is what is recommended I will do it. Thanks, P.S. AJ please don't give me hours worth of reading again?

do you trust the recommendations from the tackle shop?
The answers I'm ready are concerning me. As a newbie who knows nothing I rely on the "knowledge and expertise of others" Coming from a retail back ground I'm pretty good at figuring out if you're a bullsh_ tter or not. But this is a whole new ballgame for me. I'm grateful for this site and all the knowledge that I'm gaining but there is nothing like local knowledge. Years ago I managed a golf super store and we would get on a weekly basis people who had 10 dollar swings looking for 500 dollar drivers. My advice was always to buy a couple lessons first, work on getting a better swing then go get yourself a better driver. It would tick me off if I heard a salesperson up selling when it was just for a higher average dollar sale. Now if you had a good amount of club head speed and was playing an average ball we would talk to you about going with a better ball to maximize spin and distance. My motto has always been " IT MAY NOT BE TODAY AND IT MAY NOT BE TOMORROW BUT SOONER OR LATER THE CUSTOMER WILL FIGURE OUT THAT YOU LIED TO THEM AND THEN THEY WILL NEVER BE BACK." So unfortunately to an extent at my level of knowledge, I do not know what I do not know, so I am at the mercy of some of these people. BUYER BEWARE.

Great experience at BPS
WOW, that sucks. There have been times I was not real thrilled with associates on the floor but never had an issue with people at checkout. You can blame that stupidity on management. I used to manage a golf super store years ago and NEVER would have treated a customer like you were. The cashier would have been able to make that return right then and there. All she had to do was have her supervisor void the sale. I will never understand why people make things so freaking difficult.?

Great experience at BPS
Just had a great experience at my local BPS. Came in looking for a specific bait I had heard about here and other places and was confused as to what color and size to buy. So I went to the fishing counter and spoke with Ron about what I was looking for. 20 min later he had me purchasing something totally different based off of his local knowledge of where I like to fish. He explained what color and size to buy based off of not only his experience but that of others as well. Almost did not go back due to previous experience I had there 1 week ago. WELL DONE RON! If you get the chance to shop at the BPS in Hanover Md (between Balt and Wash) talk to Ron, you will be glad you did. And yes, I did go to there website as well and left comments.

Chatterbait trailer
Question for everyone, The BAITMONKEY is in my ear again telling me I need swim baits a chatterbait trailer. My question is before I go out and appease the monkey can I use the Baby Brush Hogs that I already have? Will they work just as good? I gotta tell ya, keeping the monkey at bey is getting to be a real struggle? Sorry my English some times is atrocious. Will they work just as WELL?

To dab or not to dab!
I work with middle schoolers and they think it's the coolest thing to see myself and other teachers "dab" I personally don't get it but whatever. So anyway, not one to pass up on a chance to have fun and possibly embarrass my kids at the same time I was wondering? My oldest daughter is graduating High School on Wednesday and because I work as a Paraeducator I get to hand her the diploma. My question, do I hand it to her by dabbing or do I respect the solemn institution of a commencement ceremony and do it the boring respectable way??

Berkeley lightning rod
Any thoughts on the Berkley Lightning Rod. I have the BPS Tourney model ( which I have never used) and am thinking of getting a lightning rod. Now remember, I am new to this whole baitcasting thing, is there enough of a difference between the two or should I just stay with what I have and learn on that? Once again DARN YOU BAIT MONKEY, YOUR EVIL AND MUST BE STOPPED! ??

Maryland baitcasting
Good morning, I'm a fairly new fisherman who wants to learn how to use a baitcaster. Video instruction is good but I learn and retain better buy doing. Anyone know of a place where I could go to get hands on instruction? I checked with BassPro but did not see anything, why they don't offer that with the purchase of an entry level caster is beyond me. Thanks

SILENCE
Sorry for quoting twice. I also suffered from migraines until saw a specialist at Hopkins who tied them to food. I have cut out a lot and have not suffered nearly as much. Still get them when I have a Menieres attack but that's all. One of the things that has really helped me has been taking two Zyrtec everyday. Regular Zyrtec not Zyrtec D. Really has helped a lot. Food allergies contributed also. Does your grandmother find that the changing of seasons and change in Barometric pressure affects her. It does me.

Operating system
I just don't like the layout. I loked 7 better. Senko lover I would love to get an Apple but not in the budget right now. The school I work for just upgraded all the teachers laptops to Mac Airs. I wanted to buy one of the old ones but due to contract issues with Apple that is not a possibility. Sad because Apple is going to take the old ones, refurbish them, then sell them online.?

Bait caster under 75.00
So, I ordered a Daiwa Aird Coastal and the little voice kept whispering MISTAKE, MISTAKE, MISTAKE, so being hard headed as I am it took awhile for me to listen but I did and went ahead and cancelled the order. After looking at some of the replies here I ordered the Daiwa Fuego instead and got a great deal on it. On a couple of different sites it got great reviews so I thought I would give it a try. Now that I have a baitcaster coming I need to learn how to use it. Watching videos is helpful but sure wish I could get hands on instruction on this thing. I noticed BPS gives fly casting instructions but nothing for baitcasting. Seems to me that could be an added value, "buy a baitcaster and we will teach you how to use it. Didn't buy it from us, no problem, for a small fee (10-15 dollars)we will teach you also."?
