  1. I fish em slow on bottom. So it sounds like the 60 is better for the way I fish
  2. Well that’s exactly how I fish my tubes, glad to get the 60 as well
  3. Hey guys. First time marketing my self here. Im multiple species angler. I have a big presences on social media! I will catch anything and everything on your lures, rods, reels, line, hooks etc. from trout and bass to saltwater striper, and blues. I will put your gear through the test of hard fighting fish.
  4. I’m sure this topic has been asked before Pros and cons 90 vs 60 degree angle tube jigs Where and when would you fish them. I’ve only fished the 90 degree head.
  5. It’s all good. I cant remember the weight but I been using the eagle claw tin tube heads waiting for my order. I just bought some lead free bass jigs tube heads in 1/4 both 90 and 60 degree. Both come in 10 packs. The only tube I use is the strike king pro model 3.5 inch. I use all the darker colors! Absolutely love them, I won’t ever use another tube bait unless it’s the smaller strike king 2.5 inch
  6. I don’t use it much, haven’t landed one but I’ve had some whacks on it.
  7. Awesome thank you!
  8. I’ve been doing well on tubes recently no matter where I go. My top cold water bait has been a tube, smallies and largemouth. No good blade bait bites, weird. Any ways I fished from shore yesterday for an hour at one of my favorite spots. I just recently got some BiCO ned heads. Tried out a strike king coffee tube. Looks great. Air bubbles and the tentacles slowly moving. Got a nice small on it. I was told from a buddy who was fishing there Sunday. The water was 43. Did good on tubes that day as well all on tubes. Has anyone else tried this before?
  9. Got out yesterday for some smallies. Slow pickings. I got 2 smallies and a white perch. Biggest went just shy of 3. I lost a big fish. Fish didn’t fight, just heavy with head shakes. All fish were on tubes dead stick on bottom. No fish finder.
  10. d**n!! That’s a bummer! Did you pay through tackle warehouse, pay pal or after pay?
  11. The wind was blowing into the spot they sit! After the brief warm up cranking winds. I knew they would be feeding.
  12. Got a 8 bass 3 picks today on swimbaits . only half hour to fish before sunset.
  13. I went to the shallow pond 8 bass and 3 picks with a few good whacks. Half hour of fishing before dark. Nothing big but they were chewing. They were cold to the touch. They loved a 4.5 inch weedless hudd and a 7 inch real prey
  14. I would fish spring fed ponds that have an inlet, part of a river system or are spring fed. the shallow pond I fish is part of a river system. They feed all winter in one area, no more then 6 feet deep. the deep pond I fish is spring fed they all sit in one area. the springs are naturally 50 degrees, while they don’t have oxygen, it will warm up the water around it.
  15. Make sure the water is clear! I hate fishing cold stained water.. some ponds are better then others for cold water fishin. Fish will stack up year after year in the same spots in the cold. So keep fishing different spots until you find your favorites. Jerkbaits , finesse baits and swimbaits for shallow ponds. I love fishing this time of year. As the water gets colder I tend to fish deeper ponds. I fish blades, and finesse baits like neds, hair jigs. my 2 favorite winter spots I found by accident. One is deeper the other is shallow. . The deep spot. A buddy and I fishing the area in December decided to check it out cuz we had time after the slow fishing at a different spot. We slammed them on blade baits, knew nothing about the pond. Just saw it and stopped in real quick. the 2nd winter spot, the shallow one , I was once again in the area and decided to check it out. It was January, I fishing soft swimbaits, a 4.5 weedless hudd and an 8 inch floating hudd. Crushed em! Once again, knew nothing about this spot. my point is, you don’t know until you try. Just keep fishing different ponds until you find you favorites
  16. Strap on the waders and hit hedges pond for smallies! No largemouth or pickerel only smallies!
  17. Got a beautiful smallie on a quick after work trip. Only 30 min before sunset. Got it on the first cast. She hit a lead free bass jig ball head jig with a zoom fluke.
  18. It honestly could be the pond you fish, I’ve have ponds where I only fish in winter. Some ponds I love the rest of the year are devoid of life in the cold. Some spots the pond could be 75% covered with ice and I’ll get em.
  19. I love tubes, catch a lot of nice largemouth on em, even with smallies in the lake I’m fishin. Hell more largemouth then smallies.
  20. Yea your right. Breach would have been better
  21. Yea I wouldn’t doubt it, with all the forage and mild winters! I’ve caught topwater fish in February and March!
  22. Awesome season @MassYak85. Hope no ice down here! I saw fish up top last weekend at 3 ponds
  23. That’s what I’ve been seeing on Facebook.
