  1. It was a great weekend in Ny. Caught a bunch of fish , 2 new species. 20’ fish total for me Walleye, lake trout steelhead, drum, smallies and redhorse sucker ( new species). Greater redhorse and shorthead redhorse. Up to 126 fish species
  2. I’m Not a fan of deep water in the spring. I love shallow water. Warm strong sun, rising temps gets em all fired up. Deep ponds stay cooler longer. Deep water ponds are less affected by weather. Shallow water ponds are more affected. So I like shallow in spring, deep in winter. But a brief warm up in the winter will have them chewing in shallow water. One January I had a great bag with 2 fish over 4lbs with a 5.10 flipping jigs in shallow water trees like it was pre spawn March. It was warm and very windy, That’s an absolute unit of a brown
  3. Look into real prey baits. My favorite softbaits, durable and realistic. I’ve caught a lot of fish on them. He offers a variety too.
  4. I love the warm windy days. They get them fired up!
  5. Thanks bud. Super happy. They are fun as hell. Never had sheepshead before. I’ve heard they are great to eat
  6. Just got back from Florida. Fished salt and fresh. Couldn’t get anything on lures in the salt, had to use live shrimp. Got 5 new species. Mangrove snapper, jack crevalle, sheepshead, coppernose blue gill sunfish and a Penn pursuit 4k combo. Also got a couple Florida bass too. Up to 123 different species of fish. I can’t wait to get more
  7. 🤣🤣 they had a kids course
  8. Woooooo @DogBone_384 great job getting it done!
  9. Nice gator. I’ve got pickerel that stole my lure. Had a pick broke off a t rig. Next cast got the pick
  10. Idk where you’re from but I’m in MA we get giant pickerel. Sucks fishing a big swimbait for bass, setting the hook thinking it’s a giant and it’s a pickerel. I’ve had them eat 10 inch swimbaits
  11. Now is the time to get that personal best. I’ve caught many big fish in March. Biggest I’ve caught in March was a 7-10 on a jerkbait. Get out there! The next cast could be that 7 plus
  12. I fish swimbaits! Some are a pretty penny! My best one $160 DS customs glide bait. Incredible bait. He makes a few different ones. But my favorite is a floating glide. You can add suspend dots to it or upgrade to beefier hooks to make it suspend. It’s a niche bait. I crush fish on it. My PB on it 8lbs 2 ounce MA largemouth.
  13. Like a blade rip pause. Or burn pause. It’s a really cool bait
  14. Found open water yesterday. First cast of the year. Ended up with 10 bass, they loved the weedless hudd, 6th sense suspending lipless and head hunter jerkbait. Felt great getting out! ITS GAME TIME
  15. Fish more this year. Learn new waters. Always new species
  16. Oh yea definitely got the baby. That’s a giant bait
  17. What’s the size difference. Can’t remember which one I got. I think it’s the baby. Swims great
  18. Mass yak. I got a CL8 possum haven’t gotten bit on it yet! Any tips?
  19. I love the Psycho gill, the Gillionare, DS customs, Matt’s strong shad, the MS slammer. Freestyle swimmers like the Matt’s strong Shad have a subtle action I find better for colder water topwater. DS makes great baits. Really love his floating glide, free style swimmer and ninja wake. All those baits catch me large fish all year long here in Ma
  20. Wake baits all year long. Whopper plopper from pre spawn to fall
  21. I may get that for bladed jigs and use a better organized regular box for regular jigs
  22. Hell yea dude! Been on here for a few years. Good place tons of info. Conventional stuff is fun and can be just as good. Had a 20lb bag of winter bass flipping jigs to trees a few years ago. Probably couldn’t have done that fishing a swimbait. That’s the way I look at it! Just another tool in the box. But I can’t get bit on a herring bite without fishing a big bait
  23. yoooo what’s up Jesse. You already know about me bro. Ladies and gents. Swimbait stud helped me get into the Swimbaits here in MA 10 years ago. Slammer is my OG Swimbait but don’t nearly use them as much as I used to. Still got like 20 of them. The DS baits have been my number one baits recently. Love the glides, the freestyle 3 piece, the ninja wake and crawler. Real preys always my number 1 soft bait. The psycho gill has been great. Haven’t been throwing the big baits nearly as much as I used too. Took a step back from it. Focused mostly on just catching fish. I need to get back at it. Fish hard again
