  2. Fished a new spot! 37 degree water. 3.5lb Pickerel and a small largemouth on a tube! Heading to the good spot tomorrow! Hope the water is warmer
  3. Dammmm. Yea not much of that on this pond. The weeds are brutal but there’s been healthy living weeds at every spot I’ve fished recently Yea usually it’s a good bait but recently I need to basically snag them on a blade bait, they won’t eat it I’ve caught a lot of nice fish, my buddy has a few 8s from here. I know for a fact that I can and probably will get my personal best from here. But winter game tho. Idk how good it is in the winter
  4. Place is small to, like 20 acres, very weedy. Big bass and pickerel The creek Channel will be like 4 feet on either side then 14 feet in the middle. Stumps everywhere
  5. Wow! I love flippin pitching but never done it this time of year! The place I was thinking of, is shallow with a small old creek bed that snakes it’s way through
  6. Flip and pitch in super cold up in the north? A pond I was thinking of I know my next Pb is coming from here. Loaded with stumps. Never fished it in the cold though! I’m going to slow roll some real preys, Swavers, DS customs perch crank, a KGB benson, jigs, tube, and jerkbait. Depends on where I fish I go deeper I’m fishing finesse, shallow I’m going big!
  7. Got 3 days of fishing cuz of the New Year. Super pumped. Last week it was cold, 30s. This week has been mid 40s cloudy, night in the 40s high 30s dead calm. This weekend,50s 10-20mph winds and rain. last time I fished 2 weeks ago was 41-43 degree water Curious what you guys throwing during a brief warm up. Fishing different ponds each day. I’m hoping to get in 6 ponds this weekend. game plan is to toss some swimbaits in shallow ponds looking for a bigger bite. Learning the jerkbait game! Hoping this warm up gets the shallow ponds warmer!
  8. I don’t fish rivers, don’t have any to fish. I’ve been catching fish in a few different ponds in water in the low 40s. I love the 3.5 inch strike coffee tube. Only tube I throw.
  9. Yep. Sharp twitches slack line. I do reel in a little slack before I twitch again.
  10. Yea I’ll do the twitch twitch pause and count. Nothin
  11. Trout and salmon spawn in the fall. But I’m not sure when they hatch and they spawn in the rivers
  12. I’ve been seeing schools of bait shallow in water in the low 40s. Different ponds to. Probably banded killifish or small perch. I’m in MA
  13. Most of my bass spinning reels are penn. I have penn battle 2, pursuit 2 and fierce 2. They are my work horses. From trout, and bass, to bait for carp and bowfin, or 30lb salmon and 10lbs brown trout. The penn battle is a heavier bass rod I use for swimbaits but its Also my light saltwater rod
  14. I’ll be out there hitting shallow ponds with big swimbaits and jigs looking for them biggons. Im in MA on the coast. The hard water season isn’t long if we even have one. With very little ice our ponds warm up fast.
  15. I’ll thoroughly cover a spot with multiple baits fishing slow before I move.
  16. Like what, cuz blades, hair jigs and jerkbaits haven't been working. I really suck at jerkbaits. Like I said tubes have been the only thing I can scratch up one or 2 on
  17. Strike king 3.5 inch coffee tube. But I’m fishing water low 40s
  18. Ok so cold clear and still what are you using? The tube has been scratching up a fish or 2 when I go out. Bite been tough and tubes only thing that have been working. Hair jigs and blades can’t get a sniff
  19. I fished last weekend 41-43 water temps
  20. I got plenty of jig heads for damiki rig! Soo I’ll try it
  21. I just got some new BiCO 1/4 ounce jigs. I love their original and baccarac jig. Yea I’m fishing in some grassy pond, some not much grass all depends on where I fish. The fish love the live weeds.
  22. @softwateronly I’m going to try some new finesse jigs I just got.
  23. So adding to my winter struggle post. I just got a few 1/4 ounce BiCO finesse jigs. What are you using for jig trailers when water temps are low 40s?
  24. Yea I’ve been fishing hair jigs as well on bottom. Nothin yet. next time I head out I’m going to try more soft plastics on jig heads, jigs and a t rig.
  25. Wow I’ll take the 25 degree it was this morning over that any day! I actually thought about fishing today but ehh it’s only 33 haha ?
