Wondering what’s been working for you all lately ? I’m always open for something new to try, or maybe an old bait that’s been working .

I’ve had a slower year than normal with Zoom super flukes, but the bite picked up recently on them… For some strange reason, they haven’t wanted trick worms much this year either…

That's usually the first thing I try...and it hasn't let me down yet.

If our overnight temps stay in the low 20*’s then an ice auger will be what works best. ?

OSP 5” HP 3D wacky in Morning Dawn nail weighted and fished on a size 1 Scrum hook has been absolutely deadly and will get me bit when nothing else will.

I had fair success with them in a pond down the road. Ive gotten away from them the last few years .

Watermelon Red is my fav. color of trick worms.

I relied hard on Texas rigged stick worms this year . Senkos and Dingers mainly .

Something different that has worked for me during the fall season was the Deps Bull Flat on a free rig.   Fun to fish but it requires patience.

When our Super Fluke bite started falling off I started throwing them on Owner weighted twistlock 1/8 oz 4/0. Working it slowly through the vegetation in 8' - 17' has been working.

For me it’s always been a June bug Magnum Speed Worm and/or Honey Candy Rage Cut R.

Those Cut-Rs are the real deal and speed worms are always in my arsenal. I haven’t done as well with the speed worms this year though. What % would you say you catch on speed worms dead sticking as opposed to fish caught on the retrieve ? Mine is probably around 50-50.

Me too. When all else failed.

I really don’t dead stick them per se. 

Nor do I do it with the Cut R. 
What I’ll do more times than not is just kill it over holes or even in an open shell bed flat once in a while, but once it hits bottom I start up again, but with a hop first. 
 

That little hop up and then back down before retrieving, has really been my go to presentation for them both for a while now.  
Especially this time of the year with an unweighted magnum.

Zoom z craw jr and the 3 inch largo Shad.

Mike, I've done consistently well with Roboworms, both 4" and 6". My best color is the purple Folkstead Special, on a light t rig or split shot rig.

Split shot rig works in my rivers and creeks. Sometimes I will even  forget to tie on a crankbait.

Throughout the Summer, best 2 options were:

• 5 inch Caffeine Shad on Owner Twistlock Light hook (prefer them so much more than Super Flukes)
• GrandeBass Rattler Neko rigged, skipped under docks

 

In the Fall when the bite cooled, but fish were around scattered rocks, the new Maxscent Tubes in both 2.5 and 3.5 were excellent for both LMB and SMB.

Some days I never change...except maybe color or put that one on a different lure.

 

One day, tried a spinner - chartreuse/white with a Skeet's Chartreuse Shad pit boss...nothing.

Changed to a chatter- chartreuse/white...moved the pit boss from the spinner to the chatter - caught 2 very quickly.

 

That's just one example.

SK 5" KVD Fat baby finesse worm in blue fleck (it is more of a plum red color) on a Owner Ultra head finesse ball head jig 2/0 EWG. 1/8 oz if shallow and 3/16 oz if I'm fishing deeper then 10'.

Swim senko, very lightly rage rigged.

Pretty much been a Ned rig or nothing when it comes to soft baits lately. TRDs, big TRDs, and Trout Tricks have been the baits of choice.
